공주대학교 대학입학전형제도 개선을 위한 기초연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 공주대학교의 2002년도부터 2004년도의 신입생들을 대상으로, 모집시기별, 전형유형별로 대학 입학 후의 학업성취도에 어떤 차이가 있는지를 밝히고, 각종 전형자료가 대학 학업성취도를 어느 정도 예언하는지를 밝히기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구결과는 첫째로, 모집시기별로 수시모집집단이 정시모집집단보다 대학입학 후의 성적이 전반적으로 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째로, 전형유형별로는 학교장 추천자, 수능분야별 우수자, 소년소녀가장, 특수교육 대상자는 대학입학 후의 성적이 우수한 편이고, 농업특기자, 외국인은 대학입학 후의 성적이 비교적 열등한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째로, 전형자료별 대학성적에 대한 예언력을 분석한 결과, 학생부 성적이 대학성적을 가장 크게 예언하고, 그 다음으로 수능 성적이며, 사범대의 경우 면접고사 성적과 실기고사 성적이 의의있게 예언하는 경우도 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초하여 몇 가지 활용방안이 모색되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between the time of entrance selection time, the type of selection, the data used in selection, respectively and learning achievement(LA) scores after attending Kone-Ju National University The following research question were set up: 1) Are there any differences between the LA scores in the group of occasion selection and those in the group of regular selection? 2) Are there any differences among the LA scores in the groups of selection types? 3) How are the predictive power of the data used in selection on LA scores after attending? In order to answer these questions, 2002-freshmen(N=2,728), 2003-freshmen(N=2,808) and 2004-freshmen(N=2,901) were sampled, and their high-school records, learning ability scores, practical examination scores(if necessary) and their LA scores after attending were collected. The data collected were analyzed by analysis of variance or multiple regression analysis through SPSS ver. 10. The results of this research are as follow: 1) The LA mean scores in the group of occasion selection are higher than those in the group of regular selection 2) The LA mean scores of the students recommended by principal, superior students in special learning ability test, family-head students, the students with special services are higher than any other types. 3) The best predictor on LA scores is high-school records and the next the scores of learning ability test. Interview scores or practical exam scores has significant predictive power on LA scores in Teachers College. As the implication of this research, it was discussed that the proportion of occasion selection should be increased, that various selection types were to be applicated in selection processes, and that the proportion of high-school records should be increased as the data used in selection.
