정규형 TTCT 도형 B 검사 독창성 항목의 채점기준에 대한 비판적 논의

국문 초록

이 연구는 TTCT 도형B 정규형 버전의 독창성 채점기준이 우리나라 초등학생의 반응 빈도에 부합하는지 살펴보고 문화적 차이를 고려한 채점기준 마련의 가능성을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구를 위하여 수도권 지역 2개 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 아동 435명을 대상으로 TTCT 도형B 검사 중 Section2를 실시하였다. TTCT 도형B 정규형 버전의 독창성 채점목록 기준과 우리나라 초등학생을 대상으로 한 독창성 채점목록 기준에 따른 채점결과를 비교하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, TTCT 정규형버전에 따른 채점결과가 우리나라 초등학생 435명을 대상으로 한 채점기준에 따른 채점결과와 비교하여 모든 항목에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, TTCT 도형B의 Section2 정규형 채점목록과 우리나라 초등학생의 반응빈도 중 일치하는 것은 34개로 31.8%에 불과했다. 또한 TTCT 정규형 채점기준 0점 목록에는 없지만 우리나라 초등학생의 흔한 반응으로 인해 0점 목록에 새로이 추가될 필요가 있는 반응도 42개로 39.3%나 되었다. 셋째, TTCT 창의성 검사 Section2 검사에서 사용되고 있는 10개의 도형 중 일부 도형은 반응 유형수가 현저히 적고 학생들의 반응이 몇 가지 반응에 집중적으로 몰려 있어 도형의 형태에 대한 새로운 고찰이 필요함을 시사하였다. 전반적으로 이 연구결과는 우리나라와 미국의 사회적·문화적 차이에 따라 TTCT 도형 B 검사의 독창성 채점기준 목록 수정의 필요성을 제기한다. 끝으로 이 연구의 함의를 홀리스틱 교육적 맥락에서 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the originality scoring criteria of TTCT figure B conforms to the response frequency of elementary school students in Korea and to explore the possibility of establishing scoring criteria considering cultural differences. For this study, 435 4th-6th grade students in two elementary schools around the capital area participated. The key results of the study are as follows. First, the results of scoring according to the TTCT normal version showed a significant difference in all the items compared with the scoring results of 435 elementary school students in Korea. Second, the number of matching responses of the TTCT Figure B Section 2 regular scoring list and the 435 Korean elementary school students’ list was only 34, which was only 31.8%. In addition, there are 42 responses (39.3%) that need to be newly added to the 0-point response due to the common reaction of elementary school students in Korea. Third, some of the 10 graphic forms used in the TTCT Figure B Section 2 indicated that the number of reaction types is very small and students reactions are concentrated on some reactions, suggesting that a new consideration of the shape of the graphic form is needed. Overall, this study suggests the need to revise the list of originality scoring criteria for the TTCT Figure B Section 2 in accordance with the social and cultural differences between Korea and the United States.
