국문 초록

“인간이란 곧 몸이며, 몸은 영혼과 육체 혹은 정신과 육체로 구별할 수 없는 하나의 선천적인 통합체”라고 보며, 이 점에서 홀리스틱 교육이 추구하는 전인교육을 위한 사상적 토대와 뜻을 같이하는 것이라 볼 수 있다. 홀리스틱 건강과 의학은 마음과 몸을 별개로 생각하는 사고 체계의 문제점을 인식하고, 그에 대한 해결의 모색과정에서 창안된 것으로 치유를 목적으로 한다. 홀리스틱 의학적 관점에서 치유에 대한 연구들은 다음과 같다. Andrew(2008)는 홀리스틱 치유의 근본은 환자의 몸과 마음과 영혼을 치료하는 것으로, 인간의 정서적·정신적·육체적·영적 균형을 이루려는 노력이다. 또한 증상을 치료하는 것이 아니라 원인을 해결하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 또한 홀리스틱 치유는 통합의학의 일부로 알려져 있으며, 신체뿐만 아니라 마음을 치유하는 것으로 자기 자신 안에 있는 치유 속성을 발견할 것을 권장하고 있다(Johnson & Growick, 2008). 홀리스틱적 관점에서의 치유의 최종 목표는 몸과 마음의 상호작용을 이해하고, 마음’을 통해서 ‘건강한 마음’이 건강한 몸‘이 되도록 하는 데 있다.

영문 초록

This study examines the meaning of mind and body medicine that emphasizes the relationship between body and mind and explores the possibility of healing based on holistic ideas. Although the body and mind exist in different dimensions, they exhibit characteristics that move in unison as though they are different. In other words, the mind affects the body, but on the contrary there is a correlation that also affects the mind. The body does not unilaterally determine the mind, and the mind can not dominate the body unilaterally. It can be seen through the Placebo effect and the stress response that it proves that the mind and body interact. The basis of holistic healing is to treat the body, mind, and soul of the patient, an effort to achieve emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual balance in humans. It also aims to solve the cause, not the symptom. In addition, holistic healing is known as part of alternative medicine, and it is recommended that you discover the healing properties within yourself by healing your mind as well as your body. In this way, human beings need to understand and approach interaction as an integral body and mind. The fundamental goal of healing is to try to make ‘healthy mind a ‘healthy body through ’mind .
