텐진 프랑스조계의 한인독립운동 근거지 형성과 위치고증

국문 초록

1910년 일본의 강제 합병 이후 정치적 불만을 가진 한인들이 독립운동을 목적으로 텐진으로 이주하기 시작하였다. 이들을 중심으로 텐진지역 한인사회의 기틀이 마련되었고, 이후 1919년 불변단이라는 최초의 한국독립운동단체를 시작으로 1945년 해방 때까지 단절됨 없이 독립운동을 전개하였다. 텐진지역 독립운동의 특징은 다양한 계열이 활동했다는 것과 그럼에도 불구하고 시종일관 대한민국 임시정부와의 관계성을 유지했다는 것이다. 텐진에서 이루어진 한국독립운동은 주로 프랑스조계에서 이루어졌다. 육상과 해상교통이 매우 편리할 뿐만 아니라 독립운동을 지원해주는 세력과의 교류, 신분 위장 등에 유리한 조건을 갖추고 있었다는 것에 있다. 또한 프랑스 당국이 일본과의 교섭 등 정치적인 문제 해결을 위해 최소한 한인들을 조계 밖으로 추방하지 않고 활동을 묵인해 주고 있었기 때문이다. 영국조계 역시 1930년대 일본의 중국 침략이 가속화 되면서 반일활동근거지 역할을 했다. 아직까지 프랑스조계에 원형 그대로 남아 있는 한국독립운동 관련 근거지는 많지 않다. 현재 파악된 것은 13곳 정도에 불과하다. 이마저도 몇몇 곳은 정확한 지점을 찾지 못하였다. 프랑스,중국 측과의 공동연구를 통한 정확한 고증과 관리가 무엇보다 필요하다.

영문 초록

After Korea s forced annexation to Japan in 1910, Koreans with political dissatisfaction started to move to Tianjin to launch independence movements. The establishment of the Korean community in Tianjin was centered by these migrant Koreans. Starting from the first Korean independence movement group named Bubiantuan in 1919, the Korean independence movement continued without stoppage until the country s liberation in 1945. The Korean independence movement in Tianjin was launched by various affiliates. Nevertheless, it always maintained a steady relationship with the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. Most of the Korean independence movements in Tianjin took place in the French Concession. The French Concession not only had excellent convenience in land and maritime transportation, but also other favorable conditions such as the convenience of exchanging with forces supporting the independence movement, advantages for disguising identities, etc. In addition, the French authority didn t deport the Koreans out of the concession and overlooked their activities for the sake of political negotiations such as those with Japan. However, this couldn t take precedence over the interests of France, and thus the conditions were subject to change at any time based on the negotiation with Japan. There aren t many remains of the Korean independence movement in Tianjin which are kept intact. Today, there are only about 10 traceable sites which are mentioned in this paper. Moreover, the exact location of some of these sites is still unclear. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct historical researches on the remains by cooperating with the Chinese parties.
