기업가정신의 국제적 연구동향

국문 초록

기업가경제와 기업가정신은 국가, 산업, 기업 수준 모두에서 성장의 원동력이다. 시대 전환기를 맞는 요즈음 기업가정신에 대한 연구는 더욱 활발해져야 할 것이다. 기업가정신 확산을 위한 정책 방향의 초석을 마련하고 국내 기업가정신 관련 연구 방향에 도움이 되는 기초 자료를 제공 하고자 본 연구는 기업가정신에 대한 국제적 학술 흐름을 다양한 관점에서 살펴보았다. 연구흐 름에 대한 선행연구를 토대로 기업가정신과 관련된 주요 국제저명학술지들을 대상으로 분석을 수행하였다. 분석방법으로는 서지분석(논문 15,284건)과 핵심 키워드(222개) 매핑 방법 등을 사용하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 시기별로 키워드의 변화를 살펴보면 ‘사회적 기업가정 신’, ‘지속가능성’의 강도가 최근 매우 두드러지게 나타났다. 국가별로는 미국의 경우 ‘혁신’과 ‘벤처캐피탈’을 축으로 다양한 연구주제가 활발히 연구되어 왔다. 영국은 ‘창업과 다양성’, ‘사회 적 기업가정신과 혁신’, ‘공공정책’ 영역에서 연구 점유율이 높았다. 독일은 ‘기술 및 지식의 이전, 대학 창업’ 등의 측면에서 상대적 강점을 가지고 있으며, ‘창업과 다양성 영역’, ‘기업가와 교육’ 영역에서 고유의 특성을 보였다. 한국은 ‘기술혁신’ 영역을 강한 중심축으로 하여 주요연 구들이 수행되고 있으나, 연구주제의 다양성은 상대적으로 높지 않은 편이었으며, 세부 연구주제 간의 연결성도 높지 않은 편이었다. 끝으로 학문적, 정책적 함의점을 간략히 제시한 후 본 연구의 한계점과 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

In order to analyze the accumulated trends of research in entrepreneurship, this study analyzed the papers provided by the Web of Science. Until now, the representative bibliometric analyses of entrepreneurship was done by Meyer et al.(2014) and Teixeira(2011). Using similar methodology as references, the Database (DB) was established in the following three steps. In step 1, the study included all of the theses published in the five journals that studied about ‘entrepreneurship’ in the existing research, but did not have ‘entrepreneurship’ in the journal titles. In step 2, all of the theses published in the journals with ‘entrepreneurship’ in its titles were included. In step 3, all of the theses with ‘entrepreneurship’ in the title, summary and keyword of the thesis were included. From the perspective of the increasing rate of the three time periods, the noticeable keywords included ‘social entrepreneurship,’ ‘entrepreneurship education,’ ‘EO (entrepreneurial orientation),’ ‘sustainability/sustainable development,’ and ‘entrepreneurial intention.’ It can be interpreted that the relevant research theme domains have recently shown a rapid growth. Further, based on the country of the corresponding authors, the research domains of four countries, including U.S., U.K., Germany, and South Korea, were examined. In the case of Korea, research was mainly published, centering around the domain of ‘technological innovation.’ Generally, the Korean entrepreneurial research studies might be characterized as a relatively limited diversity of research themes along with low connectivity among the specific sub-topics of studies. Finally, we succintly discussed conceptual and policy-related implications along with the limitations and future research directions.
