국문 초록

이 연구는 제7차 교육과정의 교육목표 설정 및 진술 방식에 대한 논의를 통해 학습자 중심의 교육을 실현하기 위한 구체적인 개선 방안을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 특히 학습자 중심 교육을 표방하고 있는 제7차 교육과정 총론의 학교급별 교육목표에 대한 분석에 기초하여 향후 어떻게 개선되는 것이 바람직한 것인지를 논의하고자 한다. 이 연구에서는 제7차 교육과정의 학교급별 교육목표는 3가지 측면에서 개선되어야 함을 제안하였다. 첫째, 교육목표는 학교급에 따라 차별적으로 설정하여 진술한다. 둘째, 학생중심의 목표 진술 방식을 지향한다. 셋째, 초․중학교는 과정어(過程語)를 중심으로, 고등학교는 성취어(成就語)를 중심으로 진술한다. 이러한 개선 방향에 따라 제안된 교육목표 설정 및 진술 방식은 2가지로 구분된다. 첫째, 현행과 같이 ‘전문+세부 목표’의 구성 체제를 유지하면서 전문을 ‘학생 중심’으로, 고등학교는 ‘성취어’를 중심으로 진술하는 것이다. 둘째, ‘전문+세부 목표’의 구성 체제를 ‘전문’ 중심으로 수정하여 포괄적으로 진술하며, 단위 학교에서 ‘세부 목표’를 설정하도록 하는 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the educational purposes of the 7th national curriculum and propose an improvement of current purposes in each level of school. The improvement of present purposes of education were proposed like following two schemes. First, the mode of statement should be changed to learner-centered mode maintaining the current system of \ the foregoing statement + detailed purposes\ in current curriculum. And the educational purposes in high schools should be stated including the statement of attainment. So to speak, the mode of statement in foregoing statement should be changed from teacher-centered statement to \ student-centered statement\ and the purposes of high school should be corrected to the statement of attainment. Second, the organization system of \ foregoing statement + detailed purposes\ in current curriculum is changed to more comprehensive purposes on the basis of \ foregoing statements\ . This scheme require the more wholescale correction of current purposes, but the current 5 purposes should be established in the pertinent level of school to play a directive role in each level of school. That\ s to say, the educational purposes in each level of school are suggested as general purposes having the characteristics of standard, and the concrete purposes of each school are established in each school according to the feature of the school.
