국문 초록

이 논문은 중국 ‘까오카오’ 문과종합능력시험의 지리 과목 문항을 분석한 것이다. 분석 대상은 2009년에 시행된 시험이며, 문항의 형식적 체제 및 평가 내용과 요소, 문항 유형 등을 분석하였다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문항의 형식적 측면에서 볼 때 인문지리와 자연지리를 아우르는 다양한 형식의 세트형 문항이 많았다. 또한, 자료 없이 문두에서 제시하는 정보나, 절대적인 선지식을 통해서도 수준 높은 사고력과 이해력을 측정할 수 있는 문항들이 있다는 점도 특징적이다. 둘째, 문항의 평가 내용 및 평가 요소의 측면에서 볼 때, 교육과정에서 다루는 지리적 내용들이 비교적 광범위 한 것에 비해 출제 문항의 평가 내용은 자연지리의 비중이 높았고, 중국지리와 세계지리의 비중은 서로 유사하였다. 또한 선택형 문항의 평가 요소는 주로 단순 지식과 개념ㆍ원리에 관한 것이었고, 종합형 문항의 평가 요소는 주로 고차적 사고력이었다. 셋째, 사탐 영역뿐만 아니라 자연과학까지 포함하는 간학문적 내용을 통합적으로 다루는 문항들이 있다는 것인데, 이러한 유형은 우리나라 대학수학능력시험 문항과 차별되는 큰 특징이라 할 수 있다. 가령 지리적 지식을 역사지리적 추론에 활용한 문항과 지리적 특성을 지구과학적 소재를 활용하여 묻고자한 문항 유형이 대표적인 사례이다. 이러한 중국 대입 지리 문항의 특징들은 향후 우리나라의 대학수학능력시험에서 새로운 유형의 문항들을 개발할 때 유용한 참고 사항이 될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study analysed the structures, the forms, and the contents of the geography subject items of the 2009 Chinese National University Entrance Examination(Gaokao). The results are as follows. First, in terms of the structures and the forms of items, there are varying forms of set items that cover both human and physical geography. Besides, it is characteristic that there are items which measure higher-order thinking only through question s information or knowledge without materials. Second, in terms of subject matters and contents of items, the proportion of physical geography to human geography is high. And the proportion of the world regional geography is similar to that of Chinese geography. It is found that multiple-choice items mainly measure knowledges and concepts, and that constructed-response items measure higher-order thinking. Third, there are a sort of integrated items that deal with cross-curricular topics which range from social sciences to natural sciences. This is the most prominent characteristic in comparison with Korean CSAT(College Scholastic Ability Test). For example, there are items which utilize geographical knowledge for the inference of historical geography, and items which require contents of geoscience for the understanding of geographical characteristics. These features are good points to find the solution to the nature and system change of the Korean CSAT. The result of this study could be one of the concrete reference materials for the improvement of the Korean CSAT items.
