협동학습상황에서 예비교사의 도덕성 변화과정 탐색연구

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 협동학습을 통해 예비교사의 도덕성이 어떠한 변화를 보이는지 탐색하는 것이다. 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 협동학습을 통해 예비교사들의 도덕판단력, 도덕적 민감성, 도덕적 동기화, 도덕적 품성은 어떠한 변화를 경험하는가? 둘째, 협동학습을 통해 예비교사들은 어떠한 인지적, 정서적 변화를 경험하는가? 이 연구에 참가한 학생들은 광역시 소재의 한 대학의 사범대학에서 한 학기 동안 도덕심리학 과목을 수강한 24명의 학생들이다. 이 연구에서는 Johnson 형제가 개발한 [함께 배우기]협동학습모형을 사용했으며, 협동학습 과정에서의 학생들의 반응을 Rest 의 도덕성의 4구성요소모델에 의해 분석하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫번째 연구문제와 관련해서 협동학습을 통해 예비교사들은 도덕판단력, 도덕적 민감성, 도덕적 동기화, 도덕적 품성 등에서 긍정적인 변화가 나타났다. 도덕판단력의 측면에서는 도덕 판단의 근거를 다양하게 제시하였다. 도덕적 민감성의 측면에서는 딜레마 상황에 관련된 다양한 사람들의 입장을 고려하는 모습을 보여주었다. 도덕적 동기화의 측면에서는 인성교육자로서의 교사의 역할을 중시하고, 도덕적인 교사로서의 자아정 체감을 형성해가는 모습을 보여주었다. 도덕적 품성과 관련해서는 ‘인간에 대한 깊은 이해’, ‘공감’, ‘신뢰’, ‘인내’, ‘자기절제’ 등의 특성을 보여주었다. 두 번째 연구문제와 관련해서 예비교사들은 협동학습을 통해 인지적, 정서적 변화를 경험하였고, 그러한 변화가 예비교사의 도덕적 측면에서의 변화를 촉진시키는 것을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과로부터 도출되는 교육적 시사점과 후속연구에 대한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to explore the morality of pre-service teachers in cooperative learning . Major components of cooperative learning are applied to the class including discussions and jigsaw activities. The participants in the study were 24 students enrolled in the College of Education, from a university located in a metropolitan city. The results of the study highlighted several areas of interest. Firstly, morality of pre-service teachers was significantly changed in terms of four moral components including moral judgment, moral sensitivity, moral motivation and moral character. For moral judgment, pre-service teacher used various judgment criteria to solve moral dilemmas. For moral sensitivity, pre-service teacher considered moral issues and perspectives of people involved in the situation. For moral motivation, pre-service teacher developed moral teacher identity and considered teacher s role as a character educator. For moral character, pre-service teachers showed understanding, empathy, self-control, trust, & patience to humans. Also pre-service teachers showed cognitive and affective changes including internal motivation, confidence, and empathy etc. This study is significant in that the utility of cooperative learning is discussed as a teaching-learning model to improve pre-service morality. Finally, educational implications and suggestions for future studies are addressed.
