초등교사의 교육정보화 연수 및 컴퓨터 태도 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등교사들의 교육정보화 연수에 대한 태도와 컴퓨터에 대한 태도를 조사하는데 그 목적이 있다. 총 207명의 초등교사들이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 설문도구는 크게 두 부분으로 구성되었는데 1)교사들의 배경변인과 교육정보화 연수에 대한 태도와 만족도관련 8개 문항, 2)컴퓨터 태도관련 35개 문항이다. 본 연구에서 컴퓨터 태도는 Loyd와 Loyd(1985)가 개발한 CAS(Computer Attidude Scale)이 사용되었다. 초등교사 배경변인은 성별, 학력, ICT활용 수업경험, 연령, 교육정보화 연수이수정도이다. 컴퓨터 태도는 두려움, 자신감, 좋아함, 유용성 인식 등 4개 하위변인으로 구성되었다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 응답자의 41%에 해당하는 교사들은 재직 중 교육정보화연수를 받은 적이 전혀 없거나 1회에 그치는 등 ICT연수에 매우 소극적인 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 남교사들은 여교사들보다, 석사학위 소지자들은 학사학위 소지자들에 비해 교육정보화연수에 더 적극적으로 참여한 것으로 나타났다. 응답자의 절반이상은 교육정보화 연수가 ICT의 교실수업 활용에 도움이 되었다고 인식하고 있었다. 한편 컴퓨터 태도를 보면 자신감에 있어서 남교사들은 여교사들에 비해 높게 나타났다. 석사학위 교사집단은 학사학위 교사집단에 비해 컴퓨터에 대한 호감도가 더 높았다. ICT를 교실학습에 활용한 경험이 있는 교사집단은 그렇지 않은 교사들에 비해 유용성에 대한 인식이 높았다. 또한 ICT활용 수업 경험이 있는 교사들은 그렇지 않은 교사들에 비해 컴퓨터의 유용성에 대해 더 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 두려움과 자신감에 있어서 연령층 간에 유의미한 차이가 발견되었다. 교육정보화 연수이수정도에 따라 자신감과 좋아함에 있어서 집단 간에 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초하여 사용자인 초등교사의 특성을 반영하는 교육정보화 프로그램 개발 및 운영전략이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

This research was to examine 1)the attitudes of ICT training and 2)the attitudes of elementary school teachers towards computers. Data was collected via a survey instrument. The instrument consisted of two parts; teachers\ perceptions and attitudes of ICT training(8 items) and teachers\ computer attitudes(35 items). The Loyd and Loyd(1985) Computer Attitude Scale(CAS) was used to investigate the teachers\ computer attitides. For the computer attitudes, the dependent variables were age, gender, degree, experience of ICT-integrated instruction, and the degree of experience of ICT training. The dependent variable was computer attitudes following four dimensions: anxiety, confidence, liking, and usefulness. 207 elementary school teachers participated in this study and the major findings are as the following. First, 41% of teachers were passive in participating ICT training(no experienced group-13.5%, only once-27.5%). Male teachers used to participate the ICT training more than female teachers. The teachers with master\ s degrees got the ICT training more than the teachers with bachelor\ s degrees. Over 51.6% of the teachers who had experienced ICT training perceived the effectiveness of ICT training positively. Second, for the computer attitudes there was a significant difference between female and male teachers in confidence. There was a significant difference between experienced group and non experienced group of ICT-integrated instruction in usefulness. Age was significantly related to anxiety and confidence. Degree was significantly related to liking. The degree of ICT training experience was significantly related to confidence and liking. The program development and management strategies of ICT training sensitive to individual differences(gender, age etc.) was discussed based on the result of this study.
