영아기 자녀를 둔 다문화가정 어머니들의 어린이집 관련 부모역할적응 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화가정의 어머니들이 영아기 자녀를 어린이집에 보내면서 경험하게 되는 부모역할적응을 지원하기 위한 프로그램을 개발하는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자, 이와 관련한 교사들의 인식을 살펴보았다. 다문화가정의 영아를 보육해본 경험이 있는 서울시에 근무 중인 170명의 교사를 대상으로 하여 본 연구에서는 선행연구를 바탕으로 구성한 설문지를 토대로 조사연구를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 빈도 분석과 t-test를 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들은 다문화가정 영아들의 어린이집 적응 기간 및 패턴과 관련하여 개별 영아마다 다 다르지만, 잘 적응해 간다고 인식하였다. 또한 교사들은 다문화가정의 어머니들도 부모역할을 수행하며 적응해 가는데 걸리는 기간이 개별마다 다른데, 이 과정에서 의사소통의 어려움을 겪는다고 인식하였다. 둘째, 교사들은 다문화가정의 어머니들을 위한 어린이집 관련 부모역할적응 프로그램이 필요하며, 본 프로그램은 영아들의 어린이집 적응을 촉진하는 것을 목적으로 해야 한다고 인식하였다. 교사들은 부모역할적응과 관련한 내용 중에서 부모참여에 관해서 특히 다문화가정 어머니들이 어려움을 느낀다고 인식하였으며, 보육교사와 상호작용, 영아건강검진 및 예방접종 방법 등과 같은 프로그램의 내용이 중요하다고 하였다. 프로그램을 실시하는 방법에 대해 교사들은 다문화가정 방문교사에 의해서, 어린이집에서 교육하고, 소집단 집합교육으로 토론을 활용해야 한다고 하였다. 또한 교사들은 프로그램을 평일에, 1시간 이내로, 한 학기에 1~2회 정도 실시하고 어머니와의 면담을 통한 평가가 이루어져야 한다고 인식하였다. 이를 바탕으로 영아기 자녀를 어린이집에 보내는 다문화가정의 어머니들이 부모역할을 수행하며 적응해 갈 수 있도록 지원하기 위한 프로그램에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine perceptions of teachers to provide basic data for development of the parent role adjustment program for mothers of multicultural families. For this study, the participants were 170 teachers who have been educare infant from multicultural families located in Seoul city. They answered the questionnaire which consisted of items based on the previous studies. Collected date were analyzed for frequence calculation and t-test. The main results of this were as follows. First, teachers recognized that period and pattern of infants adjustment in daycare center were different from individual to individual and they adapt well. Also, teachers recognized that period of mothers parent role adjustment from multicultural families were different from individual to individual and the mothers felt communication difficulties during this period. Second, teachers responded that the parent role adjustment program for the mothers was necessary and the purpose of the program was to facilitate the daycare center adaptation of infant. Teachers responded that mothers felt particularly difficulties about parental involvement in the parent role adjustment contents. And teachers recognized the importance of interaction with teachers, infant health screening and vaccination methods as the contents of the program. Also teachers responded that the program should be educate by multicultural families visiting teacher, implemented at the daycare center, and carried out by a small group through discussion. Teachers recognized that the program should be conducted on weekdays, within one hour in 1 sessions, 1~2 sessions per semester and interview with their mothers to program assessment. Based on these results, this study discussed the parent role adjustment program related to daycare center for mother from multicultural families.
