국문 초록

본 연구는 도시화가 급속히 진행되고 있는 K도 B지역의 도박중독자들을 대상으로, 지역사회 맥락에서의 도박중독 과정을 분석하여 그 원인과 강화기제, 결과를 규명하고자 했다. 연구는 사례연구로 접근했다. 연구자들은 5명의 연구참여자들을 선정하여 심층인터뷰를 수행하여 원자료를 구성했다. 자료는 먼저 맥락을 분절한 후 중단위 분석을 하여 의미단위, 요약개념, 범주를 구성한 후 이를 원인, 강화기제, 결과에 배열했다. 연구결과에 의하면 도박중독의 원인은 주체할 수 없는 돈의 주인에서 노예로 전락, 강화기제는 생활세계의 실종, 결과는 지역사회 속에서의 국외자로 살기로 나타났다. 연구결과에 근거하여 지역사회 차원에서의 부의 관리기술 공유와 확산, 지역사회 기반 재활프로그램에 대한 논의와 제언을 했다.

영문 초록

This study is to examine the gambling addicts of B area in K province which is rapidly urbanizing. We tried to show the cause and enforcing mechanism and outcomes by the case study approach analyzing the gambling addiction process in the context of regional community. We selected five participants and gathered the raw data by in-depth interviews. The raw data were processed into meaningful units, summarizing concepts, and categories by contextual and mid-unit analysis. And they were arranged into the cause, the enforcing mechanism, and the outcomes. The research results show the cause of gambling addiction as the falling from money holder to compulsive slavery of money, the enforcing mechanism as the loss of life-world, the outcome as the outsider s life in regional community. Based upon these results, we discussed the sharing and spreading of the money management skills and proposed the regional community based rehabilitation program.
