국문 초록

우리나라는 독서문화진흥법을 근거로 다양한 독서진흥 사업을 운영하 면서, 문화융성과 출판산업 활성화, 네트워크 구축을 통한 출판진흥을 위한 노력을 기울이고 있다. 해외의 경우, 독서진흥단체, 출판사, 서점, 유통사, 작가, 도서관, 학교, 교사, 언론, 민간기업, 자원봉사자, 그리고 정부까지 구성원 모두가 책의 가치와 독서문화진흥을 위해 적극적으로 동참하고 있으며, 다양한 민간 자원활동인력의 참여로 지속가능성을 확보하고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 독서문화 진흥을 위한 자원활동인력 운영 방안을 모색한 결과, 독서문화활동 관련 단체의 정관에 자원봉사 내용을 추가, 독서문화 활동에 대한 정보 및 교육 훈련을 제공, 기존 문화자원봉사와 적극적으로 연계, 자원봉사에 대한 대국민 홍보 강화및 제도보완을 통한 출판독서생태계의 지속가능성 확보가 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구는 탐색적 분석을 통해 향후 관련 연구를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하였으며, 연구의 한계와 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

After the digitalizing the media and changes of reading environment, Korean government has tried to enhance the reading and publishing environment. The purpose of this study was to examine the domestic and abroad factors leading to activate the book-reading environment through the volunteers’ participation. As a result, the four ways to vitalize the reading environments driven. They included such factors as the fostering volunteer activities on the articles of association. The national book-reading campaign would be more productive when it could be supported by the expansion of the active PR for book-reading activities and program for education on volunteers, the relationship enforcement of cultural activities volunteers, system supplement, etc. for the cultivation of book-reading habits. This study contributes to give the basic fundamental data on further related studies with the exploratory analysis. The limitations of the current study, and suggestions and implications for future studies were discussed.
