초등사회과 지리영역에서 교가(校歌) 노랫말에 나타난 지역 특성을 활용한 수업방안 탐색 - 부산광역시를 사례로 -

국문 초록

본 연구는 교가(校歌)의 노랫말에 나타난 지역 특성을 파악하여, 초등 사회과 교육현장에 활용하기 위한 방안을 탐색하였다. 부산광역시 소재의 초·중·고등학교와 특수학교를 포함한 전체 645개교의 교가를 모두 조사 대상으로 하였다. 분석의 과정은 비정형 데이터를 처리하는데 효과적인 기법인 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 사용하였고, 분석 결과의 해석 과정에서는 시각화 기법인 워드 클라우드 분석과 지도화 방법을 활용하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교가 노랫말에 나타난 지역 특성으로 인문 환경 관련 단어가 자연환경 관련 단어보다 월등히 높았다. 특히 학생들에게 빛, 꿈, 슬기, 전당, 나라, 겨레, 기슭, 희망, 기상 등과 같이 비전을 제시하는 관련 단어의 빈도수가 높게 나타날 뿐만 아니라 학교급별로도 공통적으로 나타나 다른 지역에서도 흔히 볼 수 있는 지역적 유사성을 보였다. 둘째, 지역별 자연환경 관련 단어의 빈도수는 부산의 상징적인 자연환경을 나타내는 낙동강, 금정산, 동해, 바다와 같은 단어의 빈도수가 높을 뿐만 아니라 학교급별로 공통적으로 나타나나, 그 지역의 고유한 산, 강, 바다를 배경으로 한 다른 지역에 볼 수 없는 지역의 특수성을 보였다. 셋째, 시기별로 인문 환경 관련 단어 빈도수가 높게 나타났으나, 자연환경이 차지하는 비율이 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 것으로 나타나 지역적 변천성을 보이고 있었다. 교가의 노랫말에 나타난 지역 특성을 활용한 교육 방안은 두 가지를 제시할 수 있다. 첫째, 지역화 수업에서의 활용 방안이다. 이 과정에서 학생들이 속한 학교의 교가는 내용의 지역화를 통해 지역의 특수성을 학습 하고, 나아가 학교애를 함양할 수 있도록 하되, 수준별 학습과 관련하여 기본활동으로 한다. 학생들이 속하지 않은 다른 학교들의 교가는 학생들이 속한 학교와 비교하는 방법의 지역화를 통해 지역의 유사성을 학습하 고, 나아가 다른 학교를 이해하게 함으로써 사고력을 함양할 수 있도록 하되, 수준별학습과 관련하여 보충 및 심화활동으로 한다. 둘째, 창의융합형 수업에서의 활용 방안이다. 이 과정에서 먼저, 사회과 창의융합 수업을 위한 수업의 설계 구조도를 제시하고, 이에 근거하여 지역 특성을 STEAM 단계와 융합하여 학습할 수 있도록 하였다. 이를 통해 학생들은 교가라는 친숙한 소재와 감성적 공감대를 형성하면서 의사소통 역량, 심미적 감성역량, 공동체 역량을 함양할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the regional characteristics of the school song and to utilize it in the elementary education field. We surveyed the whole school of elementary, middle, high and special schools in Busan Metropolitan City. We used text mining technique, which is an effective technique to process unstructured data. In the analysis process, we used visualization method, wordcloud analysis and data map. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the words related to the human environment were used more frequently than words related to the natural environment. In particular, the frequency of related words that present dreams and visions to students is high. Second, as a result of comparing the frequencies of words related to natural environment by region, the place names indicating the symbolic natural environment and the names indicating the geographical proximity were shown together, and the frequency of use of the words having high proximity of geographical position was higher. Third, the frequency of words related to human environment was high in each age group, but the ratio of natural environment was continuously increasing. Fourth, the natural environment that represents Busan appeared in mountains, rivers and seas. These results can be used effectively in social studies, and specific applications are as follows. First, it is a utilization method in regionalization learning. In this process, basic activities are carried out through the school of the school where the students attend, and it is expected that they can improve the affection and thinking power of the school and the community through the supplementary and enrichment activities compared with other schools. Second, it is a utilization plan for the creativity-convergence education. In the course of the 2015 revised curriculum, the design structure of the lesson was presented as a material of the creativity-convergence education. In this process, it converged with the STEAM stage focusing on the activities emphasizing the regional characteristics through the social studies. Through this, students will be able to practice the creativity-convergence education of children through the familiar material of bridge, and to develop communication ability and aesthetic ability.
