국문 초록

본 연구는 2015 개정 사회과 교육과정 『사회』 과목 일반사회 영역을 대상으로 학년군 간 내용 연계성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, ⑴ 나선형 교육 과정의 심화‧확장 원리에 위배되는 학습 내용 및 활동의 조직, ⑵ 상위 학년군에서는 다루지만 하위 학년군에서는 전혀 다루지 않는 개념, ⑶ 학년군 간 연계 과정이 단계적이지 않고 비약하는 경우를 발견할 수 있었으 며, 이들에 대해 내용 선정 및 조직이 학생 발달에 적정한 수준으로 이루 어졌는지를 검토할 필요가 있음을 제안하였다. 본 연구가 이후 사회과 교육과정 개정에서 모든 학교급 및 학년군에서 가르칠만한 핵심 개념의 선정, 내용의 단순 반복 및 중복을 뛰어넘는 체계적인 연계성 확보에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the contents articulation among school levels/grades in the ‘Society’ subject of 2015 revised social studies curriculum, and the analysis was especially focused on the domain of ‘general society’. The following three interesting results were revealed: ⑴ the organization of learning contents and activities contrary to the principle of deepening and expanding of ‘spiral curriculum’, ⑵ the existence of concepts that are dealt with at the upper levels/grades but are not at all by the lower level/grades, and ⑶ jumping of contents, which sequencing process cannot go on step by step between school levels. Based on these results, the current study suggests that it is necessary to review whether the selection and organization of the contents are appropriate for student development level in the social studies curriculum. This study would be expected to contribute to the selection of key concepts that must be taught at all school levels and systematic sequencing beyond simple repetition of contents in the next social studies curriculum revision.
