대학교육의 투입-과정-성과의 논리적 연계성 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학교육의 투입-과정-성과 체제의 논리적 연계성을 대학 교수학습 과정 및 성과 데이터와 정량지표 공시 데이터를 활용하여 분석함으로써 대학평가가 나아가야 할 방향에의 시사점을 도출하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 선행연구 결과를 바탕으로 분석 모형을 설정하고 Mplus를 이용하여 다층구조방정식모형으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 잠재변수 간 경로계수는 대학 투입에서 대학 성과로 작은 영향(.144), 학생 과정에서 학생성과로 매우 큰 영향(.836), 학생 성과에서 대학 성과로 큰 영향(.587), 학생 과정에서 대학성과로 부적으로 큰 영향(-.657)을 주고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 학생 성과 변수에 대한 설명력(.699)과 대학 성과 변수에 대한 설명력(.824)이 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 대학평가에 대한 시사점을 도출하고 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The objective of this research is to review the logical connection of the university education’s input-process-outcome system. The core quantitative indicator data is available from the Higher Education Information Disclosure. The specialization variables data was obtained from the Higher Education Specialization Comprehensive Information System, and the data on teaching-learning methods and student outcome was collected from the Korea Education Development Institute (KEDI) ’s teaching-learning methods and student outcome survey. Using the Higher Education Information Disclosure’s 2012-14 dataset, the statistical methods used include multilevel structural equation model. Structural equation model analysis shows the path coefficients among latent variables – a small effect from university input to university outcome(.144), a very large effect from student process to student outcome(.836), and a negative, large effect from student process to university outcome. In addition, explanatory power for both student outcome variable(.699) and university outcome variable(.824) are very large. This proves to some extent the logical connection across input domain, process domain, and outcome domain in the university evaluation. Therefore, when using the university evaluation results, universities with low scores in the outcome domain can be guided to improve its outcome through input and review of teaching-learning outcome domain.
