소년원생의 공감능력 향상을 위한 차문화치료 프로그램

국문 초록

본 연구는 우리 사회의 급속한 변화에 따른 핵가족, 이혼율 증가 등으로 가족 기능이 약화됨에 따라 청소년 시기에 제대로 보살핌을 받지 못하여 최근 들어 청소년 범죄가 증가하고 있다. 소년원생의 주요 특성 중 하나로 공감능력의 결핍이고, 이는 정서적, 사회적 발달에 부정적인 영향을 미치고 비행행동의 원인이 되고 있다. 따라서 소년원생의 재비행을 예방하기 위해서는 그들의 공감능력을 향상시키는 차문화치료 프로그램을 개발하였다. 소년원생의 공감능력 향상을 위한 차문화치료 프로그램은 P시의 소재 소년원 에서 1주일에 2회씩 총 8회이며, 회기 당 90분으로 도입 10분, 개입전개 활동 70분, 소감 나누기와 정리 10분으로 구성하여 진행하였다. 프로그램 참여 전 소년원생들의 공감능력 점수 평균은 75.1(SD 6.39)이었고, 프로그램 참여 후 공감능력 점수 평균은 77.4(SD 5.52)로 나타나 프로그램 참여 전과 참여 후의 공감능력 점수 수준은 유의한 차이가 나는 것으로 확인되었다(Z=-4.271**, P=.002). 하위영역 별 점수를 비교해 보면, 관점취하기 점수는 사전평균 20.8(SD 2.25), 사후 평균 21.4(SD 1.90)로 통계적으로 유의미하며 (Z=-2.714*, P=.024), 상상하기 점수는 사전 평균 22.8(SD 1.93), 사후 평균 23.2(SD 1.55) 로 통계적 유의미하고(Z=-2.449*, P=.037), 공감적 관심 점수는 사전 평균 16.7(SD 1.25), 사후 평균 17.5(SD 1.27)로 통계적으로 유의미하며(Z=-4.000**, P=.003), 개인적 고통 점수는 사전 평균 14.8(SD 2.25), 사후 평균 15.3(SD 2.0)로 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(Z=-3.000*, P=.015). 즉, 소년원생들의 공감능력 향상을 위한 차문 화치료 프로그램에 참여한 소년원생들의 공감능력은 프로그램 참여 전 보다 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 통해 본 연구에서 개발된 소년원생들의 공감능력 향상을 위한 차문화치료 프로그램은 소년원생에게 공감능력을 차문화를 통해 자연스럽게 성취할 수 있는 프로그램이므로 소년원과 비행청소년 그리고 일반 청소년의 인성교육으로 활용하기를 바란다.

영문 초록

This study intends to develop a tea-culture therapy program aimed at improving empathy ability of juvenile reformatory inmates and preventing their recidivism. Recently, due to the rapid change of our society such as nuclear family, increase in divorce rate, weakened function of family, deficiency of care received at the time of youth, etc, juvenile crimes are increasing. One of the main characteristics of juvenile inmates is a lack of empathic ability, which adversely affects social and emotional development and is the cause of delinquency behavior. Therefore, in order to prevent recommitting crimes of juvenile inmates, effective tea-culture therapy program needs to be developed to improve their empathic ability. The program consists of a total of 8 sessions twice a week and each session consists of 90 minutes(10 minutes for introduction, 70 minutes for intervention activity, and 10 minutes for summary and sharing thoughts). The program was conducted at a juvenile training school in P city. The empathic ability average score of juvenile inmates before participation in the program is 75.1 (SD 6.39), and after participation in the program, the average score of empathic ability is indicated as 77.4 (SD 5.52). This shows that there was a significant difference in the evaluation level of empathic ability between before and after the participation(Z = -4.271 **, P = .002). When comparing the scores by subdivision area of empathy, the viewpoint score is pretest average score 20.8 (SD 2.25) and posttest average score 21.4 (SD 1.90) showing statistical significancy(Z = -2.714 *, P =. 024 ), The imagination score is pretest 22.8 (SD 1.93) and posttest 23.2 (SD 1.55) showing statistical significancy(Z = -2.449 *, P = .037). The empathic interest score is pretest 16.7 (SD 1.25). and posttest 17.5 (SD 1.27) showing statistical significancy(Z = -4.000 **, P = .003). The personal suffering score is pretest 14.8 (SD 2.25) and posttest 15.3 (SD 2.0) showing statistical significancy(Z = -3.000 *, P = .015). In conclusion, we found that the emp athic ability of juvenile inmates participated in the tea-culture therapy program was improved more than before participation in the program. Thus, we hope that the tea-culture therapy program is applied for general juveniles as well as juvenile inmates and delinquents.
