국문 초록

본 연구는 영구임대주택 입주가족의 주거환경 및 가족기능과 사회적 지원망의 특성을 파악함으로써, 도시영세민정책과 빈민주택정책이 보다 효과적이고 현실성 있으며 통합적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 기초자료를 제공하는 데 그 기본목적이 있다. 조사는 1993년 9월 18일과 10월 6일 양일에 걸쳐 직접방문면접으로 실시되었으며, 서울시 도봉구 번동의 283가구를 대상으로 하였다, 분석과정에서 발견한 중요한 사실은, 영구임대아파트라는 상대적으로 안정된 거주공간으로 이주하고 나서 물리적인 조건이 향상되고, 가족의 정서적 기능이 향상되는 등의 긍정적인 변화가 있었던 반면, 음주가 증가하고 부정적인 음주문화가 확산되며, 청소년 비행이 심화되고, 이웃과의 유대감이 약화되었으며, 우범화 경향으로 주민의 불안감이 고조되고, 지역의 고립으로 접근성이 저하되는 등의 부정적 변화도 생겼다는 점이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data to develop more effective, realistic and integrative public housing policies for the residents in an urban area by analysing characteristics of living environment, family functions and social support networks. The survey of this study was conducted on September 18th and October 6th in 1993, by interviewing 283 families living in Bun-Dong in Seoul. Findings of this research suggest that the current public housing policies have both positive and negative effects on the living environment, family functions and social networks of the residents. Major findings are as follows: 1. The physical conditions and psychological family functions were improved after moving into a relatively settled living space, public rental housing area in Bun-Dong. 2. The existing public rental housing policies have resulted in an increase of drinking behavior and drinking subculture, juvenile delinquency, weak interrelatedness among neighbors, anxieties toward high-crime trends, and a decrease of accessibility to adjacent living environments due to physical isolation.
