OECD 국가의 국가복지수준과 민간나눔수준 결합유형에 따른 사회통합의 특성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 국가-사회 시너지 접근과 공동생산의 이론적 시각을 기반으로 국가복지수준과 민간나눔수준의 결합유형 및 사회통합의 특성을 탐색한 연구이다. 본 연구 수행을 위해 OECD 34개국의 공적사회지출비율과 나눔지수를 기준으로 군집분석을 통해 4개의 유형 - ‘고복지-중나눔’(8개국), ‘중복지-저나눔’(9개국), ‘중복지-고나눔’(12개국), ‘저복지-저나눔’(5개국) -을 분류하였다. 이후 다변량분산분석(MANOVA)을 통해 공적사회지출수준과 민간나눔수준 결합유형에 따라 사회통합에 유의한 차이가 나타남을 확인하였다. 특히 ‘고복지-중나눔’유형에서 가장 낮은 소득불평등도와 가장 높은 투표참여율 특성을, ‘중복지-고 나눔’ 유형에서 높은 생활만족도와 높은 신뢰수준을 발견할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 ‘저복지-저나눔’ 유형에 자리 잡고 있는 한국사회에 시사하는 바를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine how social cohesion is differentiated by the typology of state welfare and voluntary action, based on the State- Society Synergy and Co-production theory. To explore this question, OECD 34 countries were analyzed by cluster analysis and MANOVA. Cluster analysis yielded four types of state welfare and voluntary action: high state welfare-moderate voluntary action (8 countries), moderate state welfare- low voluntary action (9 countries), moderate state welfare-high voluntary action (12 countries), and low state welfare-low voluntary action (5 countries). According to this categorization, MANOVA resulted in important findings. Social cohesion was significantly different across the four types of state welfare-voluntary action. Especially, ‘high state welfare-moderate voluntary action’type shows the lowest inequality and the highest voter turnover, by contrast, ‘low state welfare-low voluntary action’type shows the highest inequality. And ‘moderate state welfare-high voluntary action’type shows the highest life satisfaction and trust. Upon research findings, this study suggests some implication to Korea, as categorized into‘low state welfare-voluntary action’.
