평생학습의 의미와 과제

국문 초록

이 연구는 평생학습을 보는 큰 두 갈래로서 목적론적 접근과 존재론적 접근을 통해 평생교육을 들여다보았다. 먼저 목적론적 접근에서의 평생학습은 배움의 유전자를 타고났다고 보는 호모에루디티오를 인간상으로 보며, 생존과 사회문화적 필요에 의해 발생하는 개인적 욕구를 배움의 주요한 이유로 설명한다. 때문에 도구적 관점 에서의 탈맥락적 학습이며, 사회의 가치가 곧 지식이 된다. 반면, 존재론적 접근에서의 평생학습은 자유로운 인간을 추구하며 다양한 경험이 학습의 원천이 되고, 비판 적 성찰을 통해 내재화 하는 과정을 중요시한다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 네 가지(평생학습의 다양한 관점에 대한 이해, 포스트모던 사유로의 접근, 평생학습 실행 연구의 필요, 학교교육과 평생교육의 경계 없는 흐름) 과제를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Lifelong education Act clarifying the concept of lifelong learning and scope was still biased to just a part of lifelong learning viewpoint(Teleological viewpoint). So we analyzed previous research results of lifelong education in Korea with the teleological viewpoint and the ontological viewpoint which are two-pronged lens of lifelong Education. Teleological viewpoint regards Homo Eruditio as a desirable human character. So learning is explained mainly by personal survival and socio-cultural needs in this view, and the value of lifelong learning is de-contextual and knowledge becomes the values of a society. On the other hand, ontological viewpoint pursues human freedom. Various experiences become the source of learning and the process of internalization through critical reflection is the learning itself. Also we introduced several practical examples to help the understanding of the two viewpoints, learning organization, Lilleskole, The One World Schoolhouse, and so on. By the results of this study, we proposed four ideas: Understanding of the various aspects of lifelong Education, post-modern thought, the need for study of lifelong Education implementation, seamless flow between the school education and lifelong Education.
