계획된 행동이론을 이용한 한방의료 이용 의도 분석

국문 초록

최근 건강과 웰빙에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 한방의료에 대한 관심도 점차 높아지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 소비자 요구에 부응하기 위한 한방의료계의 체계적인 마케팅 전략수립과 대응은 여전히 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 계획된 행동 이론(TPB)을 바탕으로 한방의료 이용에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하여 효과적인 한방의료 서비스 제공을 위한 마케팅 전략을 시사점으로 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구의 분석을 위하여 대구･경북에 거주하고 있는 20세 이상의 성인들을 대상으로 Ajzen이 제시하는 설문지 설계방법론에 따라 2단계의 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 PLS 구조방정식 소프트웨어로 이용되는 Smart PLS 2.0 M3와 SPSS 22 소프트웨어를 사용하여 분석하였다. 1단계 예비 설문조사 결과, 한방의료 이용과 관련하여 소비자들이 보편적으로 지니고 있는 부각된 신념, 한방의료 이용과 관련해서 사회적 영향을 행사할 수 있는 규범적 준거인, 그리고 한방 의료 이용을 수월하게 하거나 힘들게 하는 요인으로 인식되는 통제요인을 도출하였다. 2단계 본 설문조사 결과, 한방의료 이용 의도에 태도는 결정적인 영향을 미치는 반면, 주관적 규범은 한계적 영향에 그쳤으며, 행동통제는 아무런 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 한방의료 이용에 대한 전반적인 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 신념들을 구체적으로 탐색하였다. 본 연구 결과는 한방의료 서비스를 제고시키고 한방의료를 활성화시키기 위한 마케팅 전략 수립에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

We examined the impacts of salient beliefs, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control on the intension to utilize oriental medical services. The theory of planned behavior(TPB) proposed by Icek Ajzen was used to identify salients beliefs underlying intentions to utilize oriental medical services. PLS structural equation modeling technique was applied in analyzing the data that were collected in two stage questionnaire surveys. The preliminary survey was administered during April 2016 and data were collected from 62 adults in Daegu-Kyungpook area, Korea. The main survey questionnaires were distributed during June 2016 and data were collected from 110 adults in the same geographical area. The TPB explained 66% of the variance in intention to utilize oriental medial services. Attitudes were strong predictors of the intention. Subjective norms were significant, though weaker, independent predictors. But perceived behavioral controls revealed insignificant impacts on the intention. Respondents’ beliefs with respect to the 5 outcomes were significant determinants of their attitude and these outcomes include ‘Effective for diseases that are difficult to be cured by western medical science’, ‘Acupuncture, cupping and moxa cautery are effective’, ‘Providing relaxed and comfortable surroundings’, ‘Treatments require longer time’, ‘Echo friendly treatments with natural materials’. Since attitude is the major factor that determines intention to utilize oriental medical services, more research efforts need to be given to understand the respondents’ attitudes and their determining beliefs.
