자폐성 장애 학생의 제한된 특별한 관심을 활용한 선호도와 강점 중심의 교육모델 개발

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 자폐성 장애인의 특별한 관심을 보다 긍정적으로 이해하고 이를 교육적으로 활용할 수 있도록 제한된 특별한 관심을 활용한 선호도와 강점 중심의 교육 모델을 개발하는 것으로 목적으 로 하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 개발된 교육 모델의 구체적 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개발된 교육 모델의 주요 구성 요소는 진단, 교육 실행, 효과 검증, 인식 변화 및 지원 시스템 구축으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자폐성 장애 학생의 제한된 특별한 관심은 진단, 교육, 효과 검증의 절차로 활용될 수 있다. 셋 째, 제한된 특별한 관심을 활용한 수 있는 상황은 학교와 가정 및 지역사회 등 자폐성 장애 학생이 주로 생활하는 모든 환경에서 활용될 수 있다. 넷째, 자폐성 장애 학생의 제한된 특별한 관심은 학교 에서 모든 학생을 위한 환경 구성 등과 같은 보편적 차원, 그리고 개별 학생을 위한 개별적 차원에서 활용될 수 있다. 또한 가정에서는 가족과의 상호작용, 강화요소, 오락과 여가 등의 요소로 활용될 수 있으며 지역사회에서는 특별한 관심과 관련된 유관 기관과 연계된 활동이나 동아리 활동 등의 내용 으로 활용될 수 있다. 다섯째, 제한된 특별한 관심을 체계적으로 활용했을 때 기대될 수 있는 성과는 참여도 향상, 발달 및 학업 성취도 향상, 사회적 상호작용 향상, 문제 행동 감소, 특별한 능력으로 발 전하거나 진로 및 직업과 연계될 수 있으며 장애 인식 개선 등으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 기반으로 자폐성 장애 학생의 제한된 특별한 관심과 강점 기반의 교육 모델에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was for the development of preference and strength based educational support model for ASD students by using their special interest. On this purpose, some preliminary studies were conducted. These are as follow: 1) Some previous researches on the ASD students circumscribed special interests were reviewed. 2) A qualitative inquiry on the experiences and suggestions of education experts about using ASD Student’s circumscribed special interest at class was conducted. 3) The Perception of Parents and Educational Professionals on the Severity and Affects of Circumscribed Interests in Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder was surveyed. 4) Circumscribed Interests of Children with ASD was analyzed according to Age, Gender, and IQ. Based on these series of studies, the Preference and Strength based Education Model for ASD student’s was developed. The Preference and Strength based Educational support Model for ASD consisted is as follows: First, The SI can be used at the process of educational assessment, educational intervention and assessment of outcome. Second, the SI can be effectively incorporated at natural environment, like school, home and community. Third, at school, the SI can incorporate school-wide and individualized educational support. At home and community, for social interaction and recreation, the SI can be integrated. Finally, there are many the positive impacts of SI that can be expected, for example, the academic achievement, the engagement in classroom activities, motivation and the social interaction could be improved. And the SI could be related with future careers. Based on these findings, the Preference and Strength based Educational support Model for ASD was discussed.
