국문 초록

연구목적: 온라인 쇼핑몰에서 물류시스템을 혁신적으로 도입하는 기업은 해를 거듭할수록 증가하고 있다. 특히 세계 최대 온라인 쇼핑몰인 아마존은 스스로를 운송서비스업체라고 지칭할 정도로 자체적인 물류시스템을 구축하고 운송 및 물류사업에 적극적으로 참여하고 있다. 아마존의 혁신적인 물류시스템 도입은 전자상거래와 물류업계의 환경을 변화시키고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 아마존의 물류시스템과 우리나라 온라인 쇼핑몰의 물류시스템 현황을 분석함으로써 온라인 쇼핑몰의 물류시스템 도입에 대한 시사점을 제언하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 논문구성/논리: 제1장은 본 논문의 서론부분으로 최근의 문제제기를 하였으며, 제2장은 온라인 쇼핑몰과 물류시스템에 대한 선행연구를 분석하였다. 제3장은 아마존의 기업의 소개와 주요 현황, 물류시스템인 Fulfillment by Amazon, KIVA 시스템, 예측배송, 프라임 에어(드론)에 대해서 분석하였다. 제4장에서는 우리나라 온라인 쇼핑몰의 물류시스템 현황을 살펴보고 시사점을 제언하였다. 마지막 제5장은 본 논문의 결론이다. 결과: 아마존은 자체적인 물류시스템을 통해 온라인 쇼핑몰이 지니는 한계를 벗어나고자 많은 시도를 하고 있으며, 이를 다른 많은 온라인 쇼핑몰과 물류업체들은 벤치마킹하고 있다. 우리나라 온라인 쇼핑몰도 역시 아마존의 물류시스템을 벤치마킹하고 있으나, 시장규모와 영토크기의 차이 등 으로 인한 한계가 존재하고 있다. 독창성/가치: 아마존의 물류시스템과 우리나라의 온라인 쇼핑몰에 대한 학술적 연구는 거의 존재하지 않는다. 그리고 기존의 유사한 연구들은 기술적인 입장에서 개별의 물류시스템에 대해서만 집중하고 있었다. 본 논문은 아마존의 물류시스템과 우리나라 온라인 쇼핑몰의 물류시스템에 대해서 분석하여 연구함으로써 우리나라의 온라인 쇼핑몰과 물류업체의 발전방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The online shopping mall, which introduces innovative logistics systems to service its customers, has registered growth year after year. This is especially true for Amazon, the largest online shopping mall in the world, which has built its own logistics system and is actively participating in the business of transportation and logistics to position itself as a transportation service provider. The adoption of Amazon’s innovative logistics systems is changing the e-Commerce and logistics landscape. The objective of this paper is to point out the implications of the introduction of logistics system in online shopping malls by analyzing the logistics systems of Amazon and online shopping malls in Korea. Composition/Logic: Chapter Ⅰ of this paper introduces the topic and raises the current issues facing the industry. Chapter Ⅱ analyzes the literature on online shopping mall and logistics system. Chapter Ⅲ describes the emergence and leading status of Amazon and analyzes the logistics systems of Amazon such as Fulfillment by Amazon, KIVA robot, anticipatory shipping, and Prime Air (drone). Chapter Ⅳ explores the current state of the logistics system of online shopping malls in Korea and discusses its implications. The final chapter has concluding remarks on the study. Findings: Amazon is trying to overcome the limitations of online shopping malls through its own logistics system, and many other online shopping malls and logistics companies are using it as a benchmark. Online shopping malls in Korea are also benchmarking Amazon s logistics system, but there are limitations to this approach due to differences in market and territory size. Originality/Value: Academic research of Amazon’s logistics systems is almost non-existent and the previous studies merely dealt with individual logistics systems from a technical perspective. In this paper, by analyzing and studying Amazon’s logistics system and the logistics system of online shopping malls in Korea, we have given suggestions for the planned development of online shopping malls and logistics companies in Korea.
