국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 심리적 가정환경과 중학생의 사회적 능력과의 관계를 알아보기 위함이다. 이를 위해 ‘가정의 심리적 환경 변인과 중학생의 사회적 능력 에는 유의미한 상관관계가 있을 것이다.’라는 가설을 설정하였다. 이를 위해 전주시에 소재하고 있는 중학교 2학년 학생 342명(남 176명, 여 166명)을 대상으로 심리적 가정환경 질문지(정원식, 1987) 와 사회적 능력 질문지 검사(은주영, 2002)를 실시하였다. 결과를 분석하기 위해 SPSS 12.0을 프로그램을 이용하여 처리하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 남학생과 여학생 모두 가정에서 성취적일수록 사회적 능력은 대체적으로 향상되며, 거부적, 타율적, 폐쇄적일수록 자녀들은 타인과의 관계와 일 등에서 소극적이 되어 사회적 능력이 저하될 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 가정의 심리적 환경 변인과 중학생의 사회적 능력 에는 유의미한 상관관계가 있음이 입증되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study are to examine the relationship between middle school students’ social competence and psychological environment of home. So this study set up a suggestion that there is a correlative relationship between subordinate variables in psychological environment of home and middle school students’ social competence. The subject of this study were 342 students(176men, 166women), the second graders of at the middle schools in JeonJu City. Tools used in the study were Psychological Home Environment Test by Won-Shik Jeong (1987) and Social Competence Test revised by Ju-Yeong Eun (2002). The collected data was analyzed by SPSS 12.0/PC. The analysis result is as followings. firstly, significant correlation was found between leadership among social competence and the variables of accomplishment vs. failure in families, secondly, significant correlation was found between social participation among social competence and the variables of open vs. close in families, thirdly, significant correlation was found between adaptability, leadership, and popularity among social competence and variables of affection vs. denial in families, fourthly, significant correlation was found between adaptability and popularity among social competence and the variables of autonomous vs. heteronomous in families. Therefore, This study verified that there is a correlative relationship between subordinate variables in psychological environment of home and middle school students’ social competence.
