하느님과 인간의 유사성에 대한 소고

국문 초록

창조주 하느님이 피조물인 인간에게 드러내는 ‘계시’의 표현은 인간이 갖고 있는 하느님의 모상 안에서 인식이 가능하다. 유한한 인간은 하느님으로부터 받은 ‘모상’(Imago)을 근거로 하느님께 유비적으로 접근할 수 있기 때문이다. 이러한 관점에서 교회는 『가톨릭 교회 교리서』 301항 - “창조하신 뒤에도, 하느님께서는 당신의 피조물을 그대로 버려두지 않으신다.” - 을 근거로 ‘유비’ (Analogia)의 방법을 통해 지성적 본성 안에서 인식하고 사랑함으로서 다시금 하느님의 본성에 참여할 수 있다는 설명을 지속해왔다. 인간이 창조되어 존재한다는 사실로부터 하느님의 모상과 유사하고, 그 창조주 하느님을 인식함에 있어서도 피조물인 인간은 지성적 본성이 하느님의 본성에 참여하며 모방할 수 있다는 점을 강조한 것이다. 하지만 하느님에 대한 인식과 모방은 인간이 갖고 있는 유한함, 즉 불완전한 방식에서 이루어진다. 이러한 불완전한 방식은 피조물로서의 인간과 창조주로서의 하느님 사이에 ‘상이성’으로 표현되며, 이 ‘다름’조차 하느님과 세상, 그리고 인간이 갖는 유비적인 관계성 안에서 그 긍정적인 해석이 가능하다. 이러한 하느님과 인간 사이의 간극이 갖는 유비적인 유사성과 상이성은 세상과 인간을 향한 하느님의 개방성의 원천이며, 이 하느님의 계시에 대한 인간의 응답은 하느님의 본성에 다시 참여하도록 하는 ‘신화’(divinizzazione)의 원동력이 될 수 있다.

영문 초록

The expression of ‘revelation’ which God, the Creator, showed to human, the creature, can be perceived by ‘Imago Dei’ that human has. So, finite human can approach analogously to God based on ‘Imago’ from God. Catechism of the Catholic Church, Chapter 1, Article 1, 301 says “With creation, God does not abandon his creatures to themselves”. With this, the Church is explaining through the method of ‘analogia’ that we can participate again to God’s original nature by understanding and loving in intellectual original nature. This is to emphasize the creature’s intellectual original nature can participate and imitate God’s original nature by knowing the fact that human was created according to ‘Imago Dei’. But the cognition and imitation of God is made by human’s finite, which is imperfect, method. Such an imperfect method is expressed by ‘dissimilarity’ between God, the Creator, and human, the creature. This ‘dissimilarity’ can be interpreted positively between the analogous relation of God and the World, and human. These analogous similarity and dissimilarity between God and human are the wellspring of God’s openness toward the world and human. The response of human to this God’s revelation can be the motive power (prime mover) of ‘divinizzazione’ for participating to God’s original nature again.
