영문 초록

This paper has examined the history of early translations of the Bible in Korean, concentrated on the history of Christianity. First of all, I will explain the aim of the research and grasp the research which preceded this. The foregoing researches so far are generally comparing and considering the style and words of the Bible. However, they do not really refer to the history of early translations of the Bible in Korean and stay unified. Therefore, I suggested a way to research the part which has not been investigated in the foregoing researches using dates on the history of Christianity in Korea. In addition, I considered how the early translations of the Bible in Korean influenced the society, culture, literature and life with the language at that time.
