실과 ‘환경을 살리는 나의 생활’ 단원에서 실천적 문제 해결 수업이 초등학생의 환경 소양에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 초등학교에 적합한 실천적 문제해결 교수․학습과정안을 개발하여 현장에 적용하여 보고, 실과 ‘환경을 살리는 나의 생활’ 단원의 실천적 문제 해결 수업이 초등학생의 환경소양에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 충북 청주시의 G초등학교 5학년 2개 반 64명을 대상으로 이질집단 전후검사 설계모형을 적용하였다. 실험집단은 실천적 문제해결수업을 적용하였고 통제집단은 전통적 문제해결 수업을 실시하였으며 사전 사후검사를 실시한 후, t 검증으로 효과를 검증하였다. 이 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실천적 문제 해결 수업을 실시한 집단과 전통적 수업을 실시한 집단 간에 환경 소양의 효과를 검증한 결과 실천적 문제해결 수업이 환경 소양의 함양에 효과가 있음이 나타났다. 둘째, 실천적 문제 해결학습이 생태적 지식, 환경 쟁점 지식, 환경감수성, 환경쟁점지식, 환경태도, 환경기능, 조절점, 책임 있는 환경행동의 환경구성요소에는 긍정적인 효과를 나타내었으나 환경쟁점조사․행동전략지식, 환경관심, 환경가치 함양에는 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 ‘환경을 살리는 나의 생활’ 단원에서 실천적 문제 해결 수업이 초등학생의 환경 소양 함양에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Practical problem solving instruction about a unit My Environment-friendly Life in a sixth-grade practical arts on school children s environmental Literacy. The subjects in this study were 64 students in two different 5th grade class in G elementary school in the city of Cheongju, Chungbuk. A one-group pretest-posttest design was applied, and pretest and posttest were carried out before and after the experimental group received Practical problem solving instruction. As for data handling, t-test was employed to verify the effect of the education. The results of this study are as follows. Practical problem solving instruction made a statistically significant difference to the environmental literacy of the students. And they have statistically significant change in the subfactors of environmental literacy, which involved ecological knowledge, knowledge of environmental problem & issue, environmental sensitivity, environmental attitude, skill, environmental crisis, locus of control, environmental responsibility behaviors, but there is statistically not a considerable difference of environmental literacy about the environmental issue, investigation & action strategy knowledge, environmental concern, environmental Value. The findings of the study illustrated that Practical problem solving instruction is one of effective learning methods to stir up the positive environmental literacy of learners.
