국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 7차 교육과정의 5학년 교과서와 교사용 지도서에서 지속가능발전을 위한 환경적 관점에 대한 내용을 분석한 다음, 이에 대한 시사점을 바탕으로 개발된 구조중심 협동학습에 기반한 지속가능발전을 위한 환경교육 수업자료가 초등학생의 환경의식에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 첫째, 지속가능발전을 위한 환경교육 관련 내용을 추출 및 재구성하여 구조중심 협동학습에 기반한 지속가능발전을 위한 환경교육 수업을 위한 교수·학습 모형을 개발하고, 이를 바탕으로 환경교육 수업자료를 구안 및 적용시켰다. 둘째, 구조중심 협동학습에 기반한 지속가능발전을 위한 환경교육 수업자료는 초등학생의 환경의식에 긍정적인 효과를 미쳤다. 셋째, 본 수업에서 적용한 지속가능발전 관련짓기 활동은 정성적 분석 결과 환경문제를 사회 및 경제 문제와 통합적으로 인식하는데 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 결론적으로 구조중심 협동학습에 기반한 지속가능발전을 위한 환경교육 수업자료는 학교현장에 적용 가능하며, 다양한 환경교육 방법이 요구되는 시점에서 새로운 교육 방법으로써 가치가 크다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구와 관련된 지속가능발전을 위한 환경교육 수업자료와 관련된 심층적인 연구와 수업자료 개발시 병행하여 적용한 구조중심 협동학습 및 지속가능발전 관련짓기와 같은 교수·학습 활동에 관한 후속 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop the environmental education instruction materials for sustainable development based structure-centered cooperative learning for 5th grade of elementary school, and to investigate the influence on the environmental consciousness. To achieve the purpose, documentary and investigatory research was conducted and thereafter the instruction materials developed and implemented according to the development procedures. The major results of this study were as follows. First, the researcher was able to develop and apply a professor-learning model for environmental education for sustainable development based structure-centered cooperative learning by extracting and recreating the environmental education for sustainable development related contents from the 5th grader curriculum. Second, this instruction materials had a positive effect on elementary students` environmental consciousness. Third, according to qualitative results, students appear to be more concerned and interested in the environmental, social and economical problems. In conclusion, the environmental education instruction materials for sustainable development based structure-centered cooperative learning has a positive effect on elementary school students`s environmental consciousness. Therefore, more intensive research should be conducted, linking with teaching and learning method, as a follow-up activity.
