현대중국어 부사 ‘就’, ‘才’ 소고(小考)

국문 초록

중국어 부사 ‘就’와 ‘才’는 현대중국에서 매우 특수한 관계를 나타내는 고빈도 부사이며 용법도 매우 복잡하고 탄력적이다. 이렇게 광범위하고 자주 사용되는 이 두 단어의 의미는 특정 언어 환경에서는 완전히 상반되기도 하고, 또 다른 특정 언어 환경에서는 유사성을 보이기도 한다. 이들에 대한 올바른 이해와 사용을 위해 두 단어의 관계를 잘 정리해 볼 필요가 있으며 종합적이고 전면적인 고찰이 필요하다. 이에 본고는 부사‘就’와 ‘才’의 의미의 상호대조, 주관화 기제, 주관량 특히 주관소량과 주관대량 표현, ‘了’와의 결합 등에 대한 공통점과 차이점을 살펴보고 이에 대한 원인을 논의하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The structure of ‘jiu (就)/cai(才)’, especially, ‘numeral－quantifier expressions + jiu (就)/cai(才) + predicate + numeral－quantifier expressions’ can express both a large quantity and a small quantity of something in subjectivity. The paper analyzes the reasons for the Subjective quantities of this structure in terms of, Salience theory and image schema in cognitive model, and eventually concludes that whether the structure expresses a large quantity or a small quantity of something is decided by speaker s subjective perspective and the image schema formed in the cognitive model towards real life. And then, this paper also attempts to find the syntactic conditions of their cooccurrence with the particle ‘le’. The research shows that in ‘jiu’ sentence the event time lies before the expected time. The event happens out of the speaker’s expectation which is newsworthy. so ‘jiu’ and ‘le’ are semantically compatible. While in ‘cai’ sentence the event time lies after the expected time. The event happens in the speaker’s waiting, it’s not newsworthy, which leads to the incompatibility of ‘cai’ with sentence － end ‘le’.
