여대생의 성찰을 통해 본 한국사회 여성 리더십의 의미 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 여대생에게 여성 리더십의 의미를 탐색하기 위하여 서울에 있는 여대학생 총 271명의 성찰보고서를 중심으로, 남녀공학의 여학생 51명의 성찰보고서를 보조자료로 활용하여 CQR-M을 통해 분석하였다. 그들의 리더십 경험과 성찰을 통해 분석한 결과 3개 영역, 7개 범주, 14개 하위범주로 나타났다. 구체적인 연구결과는 첫째, 여성 리더십 개념은 ‘리더십에 대한 인식’, ‘여성 리더십에 대한 관점’, 여성리더십 특성은 ‘여성 리더십의 조건’, ‘여성 리더십의 장․단점’ 등 각 2개 하위범주로 나타났다. 둘째, 여대생의 현실은 ‘여성 리더에 대한 편견’, ‘여성 리더에 대한 성차별’ , 여대생의 경험은 ‘직접적인 리더십 참여활동’, ‘간접적인 리더십 관찰 활동’ 과 여대생의 성찰은 ‘리더십 경험이후 자기성찰’, ‘리더십 관찰이후 타인평가’ 등 각 2개의 하위범주로 드러났다. 셋째, 여성 리더로의 지향은 ‘일상관계에서의 롤 모델’, ‘사회영역에서의 롤 모델’, 여성 리더로의 대안은 ‘개인적인 노력과 개발’, ‘사회 환경의 변화 요구’ 등 각 2개 하위범주로 나타났다. 여대생의 여성 리더십 인식을 통해 여성 리더로서의 성장가능성과 동시에 그 한계를 분석하였다. 또한 여성 리더십을 경험할 수 있는 여대의 긍정적인 측면과 남녀공학에서 여대생들을 위한 특화된 프로그램 등 관련 정책을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study’s research is based upon self-reflecting report of 271 female students of a women s university to analyze the meaning of women leadership. Self-reflecting report of 51 female students of Co-ed University was used as a comparative resource whilst analyzing by using CQR-M. After the analysis, it resulted of 3 regions followed by 7 categories with 14 sub- categories. The further analysis is as follows. Under first region, there are women’s concept of leadership and characteristic of leadership which are what frames their perception. The concept of leadership was divided into 2 sub-categories of ‘recognition of leadership’ and ‘perception towards women leadership’, and leadership’s characteristic was divided into 2 sub-categories of ‘demands required for women leaders’ and ‘pros and cons of women leadership’. Second region showed female university students’ reality, experience, and self-reflection. Reality was segmented into 2 sub-categories, ‘stereotype towards women leaders’ and ‘gender inequality towards women leaders’, Experience was segmented into ‘directly linked leadership activities’ and ‘indirectly linked leadership activities’, and self-reflection was segmented into ‘self-reflection after the experience of leadership’ and ‘evaluation of other leaders’. Third region was categorized into 2, female university student’s leader-inspiring figures and improvements to be a leader. Female university student’s leader-inspiring model were divided into 2 ubcategories, ‘role model in daily life’ and ‘role model within the society’, improvements to be a leader was divided into ‘personal efforts and developments’ and ‘demands due to the change in society’. The possibility of women leaders and its limits were analyzed through female student’s perception.
