영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the cross-cutting issues of Saemaul Undong, including gender and environment. Recently domestically Saemaul Undong is a hot issues as an Official Development Assistance(ODA) model, and the United Nations just announced the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), including gender and environment issues. Thus, this study tried to seek ways to establish an advanced ODA model based on the Saemaul Undong. Firstly, gender issue(women’s association operations) and environment issue(forest tree-planting) of Saemaul Undong generally met ODA evaluation criteria(relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability). Also, we found outcomes and universal applicability of these issues from the former Saemaul(integrated rural development) ODA projects. Lastly, we sought ways to apply cross-cutting issues in the concept system and standard procedure of Saemaul ODA of ‘International diffusion measures of Saemaul Undong’. Saemaul ODA is expected to contribute greatly to mainstreaming of cross-cutting issues.
