영문 초록

Sustainability has been engaged in various areas of research since 20 th century, resilience has emerged in the field of research related to city since 2000. The definition and its boundaries or its application of sustainability is still obscure. Although there are limitations that it is not sufficient research on the resilience of the city, resilience is emerging as a new urban paradigm. This research intends to suggesting an integration sustainability with resilience in a city. The study is conducted in the form of a theoretical study and case studies. In this context, the purpose of this research is as follows : First, It demonstrated the concept, difference and features of sustainability and resilience. Second, this study accounted for the relationship between sustainability and resilience. Third, this study proposed practical measures to integrate sustainability and resilience through the four aspects of environment, social, economic and institutional factors. It is significant that suggestion to apply resilience in order to implement sustainable city in terms of urban systems.
