국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 창의적 체험활동 프로그램 운영의 장애요인에 대한 교사들의 인식을 살피는데 있다. 창의적 체험활동 운영상의 장애요인은 다음과 같다. 첫째는 제도영역이다(입시중심적인 교육제도, 성과위주의 교육시스템 등). 둘째 요인은 교사영역이다(획일적인 운영시스템) 셋째는 학생요인이다(학생의 능동적 관심과 참여 부족). 넷째, 지역연계요인이다(긴밀하지 못한 지역사회와의 연계활동). 이런 장애요인들을 해소하기 위한 창의적 체험활동 관련 정책은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 획일적이고 성과위주인 프로그램의 운영지침을 재편해야 할 것이다. 학교와 교사들에게 운영상의 재량권을 더 많이 부여해야 할 것이다. 둘째, 학생들의 욕구를 채워줄 수 있는 유용한 프로그램을 개발해서 학생들의 자발적 참여를 유도해야 할 것이다. 학생들의 높은 참여율은 교사의 참여 동기를 제고하는 순기능을 할 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 학교는 지역사회의 긴밀한 상호협조 체제를 마련하여 프로그램을 운영해야할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine middle school teachers’ perceptions on the barriers to students’ creative activities. Four types of barriers were found from the analyses. The first type of barriers were closely related with the institutional area(entrance-exam focused education and/or merit-only education). The second type of barriers were related with the role of teachers(unilateral class operations). The third type of barriers were associated with students’ motivation(the lack of interests and participation on the part of students). The fourth type of barriers were related with the community integration(the absence of interconnected linkage between schools and communities). In order to resolve these barriers, educational policies have to be changed in the following directions. First, programs operating unilaterally and programs emphasizing the merits have to be renovated. For this change, what is important is to delegate more decision-making power to schools and teachers. Second, the more attractive programs which can satisfy students’ needs and motivate their voluntary participations have to be introduced. The high rate of student participation can do some desirable functions by motivating teachers to participate in the program. Third, programs which can hammer out close connections between schools and communities are to be implemented.
