남부지역의 최근 자료를 통해 본 신석기시대의 연구현황과 과제

국문 초록

최근 남부지역에서는 기존의 연구성과를 재검토할 수밖에 없는 새로운 성격의 유적들이 다수 확인되고 있다. 부산 가덕도 장항유적이나 울산 처용리유적에서는 묘역을 갖춘 신석기시대의 집단 매장유구가 확인되면서 기존 패총유적에서 단편적으로 확인되었던 인골들에 대한 재해석이 가능하게 되었다. 뿐만 아니라 풍부한 부장유물들을 통하여 기존 편년을 보완할 수 있는 구체적인 자료가 확보되었으며, 이를 통하여 당시 사회의 구조와 성격에 대하여 보다 구체적으로 접근할 수 있게 된 것이다. 또한 초기 신석기시대 화장묘의 흔적이 확인된 제주도 삼양동유적에서는 이전까지 단편적으로 알려졌던 신석기시대의 장례와 매장관습에 대한 기원과 새로운 과제를 제공하고 있다. 이와 함께 제주도에서 확인된 초기 신석기 단계의 유적들을 통하여 우리나라 신석기문화의 기원과 문화 성격 및 편년계통과 관련한 새로운 자료가 되고 있다. 동해의 죽변유적이나 오산리유적에서는 가장 이른 단계로 편년되었던 융기문토기 하층에서 새로운 문화가 확인되는 등 기존 연구의 획기적 변화를 예고하는 자료들이 나타나고 있다. 본고에서는 이러한 최근 자료의 내용을 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 극동 시베리아와 동아시아 일대의 매장풍습과 공통유물의 성격, 새로운 자료의 편년적 의미 등을 살펴보고자 하였다.

영문 초록

Recently there have been identified a number of ruins which have new characteristics so that they are bound to be reexamination on the existing research results in the southern area. As identified these mass graves buried in the cemetery of the Neolithic in the Changhang remains of Gadeokdo in Busan or Cheoyong-ri relics of Ulsan, interpretation was possible for the bones which were identified as fragments from the ruins existing mound. As well as, through wealth manager s artifacts this concrete data that makes to complement existing recording chronologically has been secured. Also, it makes to be able to access more specific about the structure and nature of the society at that time. In addition, Samyangdong remains in Jeju where has been identified the evidence of early Neolithic cremation tomb monuments offers the origin for the Neolithic funeral and burial customs, new challenges previously known as fragmentarily. This ruins identified in Jeju Island of the early Neolithic phase is being the new material associated with the origin and cultural characteristics of Neolithic culture in Korea, and recording chronologically. In the lower door of earthenware of the ruins of the East Sea, Jukbyeon or ruins of Ohsanri which was recorded chronologically as the earliest stage the new culture is to be checked and then it is to notice the dramatic change against original research. This paper explores the content of these recent data, based on this, the burial customs and the nature of the common remains in Far East, Siberia and East Asia area, and investigates recording chronologically means of the new data.
