영문 초록

Canada was not well known wÎth Îts wine Îndustry before the 1990s. Neither was 50 Lhe wÎne industry of the Niagara regÎon of Canada. However. Niagara has now emerged as one of the well- known wÎne regÎons of the world. Even Îf the region produces small amount of wÎnes. it Îs a1most the only wÎne of Lhe world where a particular type of wine, i.e., lhe lcewÎne is produced stablly over the last a few decades. Based 00 the severe winter climate, the Niagara region has established a or wine cluster, consisu wmenes. wme ωur， festivals and supporung activities from research, educational, and govemmental institutions. This par intruces how the region has created the wÎne cluster in a short peri and anys factors contributing to aod the ma::hanisms of the cluster. It identifies fac10rs contributing 10 the success as entrepreneurship of the founders of the core wÎnenes, such as Cave Spring, Hillebrand, ru Reif, strong govemmental policies, and supports from research and educational institutions, such as Brock University and Vineland Research and Innovation Centre
