This itudy aims 10 analyze the regional influences he SerJl=n highway coßStruction wmch was comple ìn the end of 2001. ln general, Ihe expansion of sociaI overhead capitals such as road, railway, harbor often causes the regional effects indirectly on demographic configurati。κ induslTial sπucture， land use and finance, etc. In this sense, Ims empiricaI analysis focuses on the regional effects of the sturelln highway construction and employs the qu i.experimenl control group methodology 10 find the statistical diffeπκε between Ihe experimen group(13 citîes or counties wmch the highway is penetrated) and the controJ group by t.te findings thîs study indicale that the constructîon of the st이α'Iln highway has brought d 이ferential influences over regions and sectors.
