영문 초록

This article analyzed the location characteristics and location factors of the disabled households. Based on the case of Taegu Metropolitan Area, this paper analyzed the density of disabled people. In general it was indicated that the residential density of the disabled was higher in the areas which were close to CBD than the suburbs. This paper constructed some hypothesis on the factors of residential location of the disabled with regard to the general factors and specific factors. Also, this paper conducted an empirical analysis of the hypothesized eight location factors of the disabled. In the analysis it was maintained that the distance from CBD and presence of traditional market and school for disabled people were significant factors. In order to check the results of the regression analysis and identify other qualitative location factors for the disabled, this paper conducted qualitative research based on a questionnaire and interview. In the analysis the traditional location factors such as price, environment, access to the job were significant in the decision of the disabled households. Also, it was indicated that the disabled want to locate with the same place with non-disabled people and to locate in the areas with the facilities and schools for disabled people.
