영문 초록

During the past several years, there have been phenomenal transformations in the Korean society. One of the major transformations is characterized by strong and rapid introduction of computers in almost every segment of the society. In this context, this research attempts to investigate activities of internet business in real estate trading, find out attitudes of real estate brokers in relation to the societal change, and suggest policy and theoretical implications in the promotion of iInternet-based real estate business. Based on a questionnaire survey of 83 real estate brokers of Taejon, the research concludes that, first, the degree of computerization in the real estate business is very low. Second, the real estate brokers, however, are well aware of the societal change and also are seriously concerned about impacts of the societal change on their business. Third, they are though highly motivated to prepare for the change, but are lacking means of doing so.
