문학 제재의 적합성과 문학교육의 방향

국문 초록

새로운 작가, 새로운 작품의 수록을 비롯하여 교과서 속 문학 제재의 다양한 변화에도 불구하고 현재 교과서 속 문학 제재는 결국 성취기준을 가르치기 위한 수단으로 쓰일 따름이다. 이는 애초 문학이 존재했던 삶과의 연관을 단절시키는 방법이다. 문학은 문학 그 자체로 다루어져야 한다. 그리고 그 중심에는 문학을 가운데 둔 생각과 느낌의 토로와 나눔인 문학토론이 있다. 무엇보다 언어는 고립된 기능이 아닌 맥락 속에서 가르쳐야 한다. 그리고 활동을 기능의 단순 반복이 아닌 의미 있는 삶의 문제와 연결해야 한다. 또 구체적인 맥락 속에서 진짜 언어자료인 문학 작품으로, 삶의 문제에 접근해야 한다. 이를 위해 교사의 비계 설정, 교사와 학습자, 학습자와 학습자의 대화, 학습자의 능동적인 참여 등이 교육의 벼리로 여겨져야 한다. 궁극적으로 우리는 작품을 바탕으로 함께 대화를 이어가야 한다. 교사와 학습자, 학습자와 학습자는 서로의 대화를 확장하고 심화시켜야 한다. 이것이야말로 문학이 문학답게 교실에서 존재하는 방식일 것이다.

영문 초록

In spite of various changes in new textbooks, new writers, the current literature textbooks are used as a means to teach achievement standards. This is a way to break the association between life and literature, the essece of literature. Literature should be treated as literature itself. And Literary discussion has put various thoughts of the literature and feelings about the literature in the center of literary education. Above all, languages should be taught in the context of a non-isolated features. And it must be connected to the activities and problems of life, which means not a simple repetition of the function. In addition to the real corpus of literature in a specific context, we should approach the problem of life. With this scaffolding of teachers, interactions of teachers and learners, learners and other learners, and active participation of learners should be regarded as sharpen in education. Ultimately we must work on the basis of a conversation. Teachers and learners, learners and learners must extend and deepen the dialogue with each other. This will be the correct and valuable way that literature exists in a classroom.
