국문 초록

‘네트워크’는 원래 사물이나 사람을 상호 연결한 모양을 나타낼때 사용하는 용어다. 네트워크란 말은 이미 인간 사회에 있었던 것이지만 정보화시대에 접어들면서 어느 순간 많이 사용되기 시작했다. 오늘의 시대에 더욱 네트워크가 강조되는 이유는 무엇일까? 먼저는 세계선교의 환경 변화와 불확실성 때문이다. 둘째로, 선교를 위한 자원과 기회를 극대화하기 위해서이다. 오늘의 선교는 한 교회나 교단, 선교기관의 독자적인 힘만으로는 이루어갈 수 없다. 셋째로, 사역 방식의 변화 필요성 때문이다. 미래의 조직은 모든 조직체에서 사역에 대한 영역이 세분화되고, 각 영역에 임명된 책임자가 모든 것을 계획하고 진행하게 될 것이다. 특히 인터넷으로 대변되는 물리적 네트워크의발달은 이와 같은 현상을 가속화시킨다. 넷째로, 사람들의 살아가는 형태가 점점 더 도시화, 네트워크화 되기 때문이다. 도시는 인간의 미래뿐만 아니라 세계선교를 위해 결정적으로 중요한 요소가 될 것이다. 그리고 도시의 다양한 사역을 위해서는 네트워크가 필요하다. 마지막으로, 무엇보다 중요한 것은 하나님의 선교를 위한 일치의 필요성 때문이다. 선교를 주도하시는 분은 삼위일체 하나님이시며, 선교는 그 하나님의 구원계획을 이루어가는 것이다. 따라서 선교는 교회나 선교사의 목적을 앞세우는 것이 아니라 하나의 목표, 즉 하나님의 선교라는 공동의 목표를 위하여 서로 협력하고 소통해야 한다. 이런 선교 네트워크를 위해 필요한 요소들은 무엇일까? 첫째는 공통의 비전 설정이다. 선교사들은 개인 혹은 한 지역에서 사역에 익숙하다보니 거의 모든 초점이 개인이나 자신의 지역에 맞추어져 있다. 네트워크 사역이 성공적으로 안착하기 위해서는 서로 추구하는 비전을 공유하고 하나의 목표에 사역 방향을 조율하는 과정이 있어야 한다. 둘째로 지금까지의 선교 정책은 지역적이었다. 선교사는 어느 지역을 위해 파송되고 그 지역을 넘어설 수 없었다. 탈 지역적 네트워크 선교를 위해서는 행정 구조의 발상을 바꾸어야 한다. 글로벌 네트워크에서 활동할 수 있도록 선교사 운영 규정을 바꾸어야 한다. 셋째는 개인적인 노력에서 협력을 위한 네트워킹이다. 선교사 개인을 넘어서서 교단, 선교단체, 지역교회가 서로 공유하고 협력하는 자세가 필요하다.

영문 초록

Network comes from the term that describes a shape which connects objects and persons to each other. The concept of networking has long existed in the human society, but entering in the age of information, the term is mentioned much more often. Why is networking so much more emphasized in our age? First this is due to the changes and instabilities in the world mission environment. Secondly, networking is a way to maximize the effects of missions resources and opportunities. Today's mission cannot be achieved by the resources of the individual church, denomination, or mission organization only. Thirdly, there is a need for a shift in missionary method. Organizations in the future will be entirely structured according to specialization where appointed directors will plan and proceed with all tasks in their specialized domains. Especially the rapid development of the internet accelerates the process of networking. Fourth, human habitation is increasingly urbanizing with its concentrated networks. The cities will be crucial cites not only for the future of humanity but for world mission. Networking is necessary to do various types of ministries necessary in urban areas. Finally, networks are important mostly because of the need for unity for the mission of God. The Trinitarian God is the one who leads the mission, and the mission is to actualize God's plan of salvation. Therefore missions is not to push for a church's or a missionary's aims, but to collaborate and communicate together under the common purpose of God's mission. What are necessary the elements for such missionary network? First a common vision must be set. Missionaries are mostly focused on individuals and their local regions with which they are most familiar. For the successful establishment of networks in ministry, we must go through a process of first sharing individual visions hen fine tuning our ministry directions toward a common goal. Second, missions strategies so far have been regional. Missionaries were sent to specific regions, and they could not go beyond its bounds. For post-regional network missions, the administrative structure must be reframed. The operational regulations for missionaries must be changed to allow them to work within a global network. Thirdly, there must be a shift from individual efforts to networking for collaboration. An attitude of sharing and cooperation that goes beyond the individual missionary, denomination, mission organization, and the local church, is necessary.
