국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 국제학교 교생실습에서 교생들은 어떠한 경험을 하며, 그 경험이 어떠한 열린교육적 의미가 있는지를 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상학생은 국제학교에서 실습을 한 D교육대학교 2학년생 8명이다. 2015년 10월 19일부터 12월 19일까지 실습결과에 대한 학생들의 발표와 면접, 실습록을 수집하고, 분석을 하여 보고서를 작성하였다. 연구결과 국제학교는 첫째, 교육과정 운영이 우리나라와는 전혀 달리 아동중심적이고 자기주도적이다. 토론과 체험을 기반으로 구성주의 수업을 하며, 활동적이며 다양한 프로젝트 수업방식으로 한다. 둘째, 구성원들 간의 관계가 인간적이며 교사의 역량이 받쳐준다. 교사와 학생은 서로 존중하며, 교사의 역량이 높고 학생들은 자유롭고 적극적이며 행복하다 셋째, 한국 학교에서 찾아보기 힘든 것들이 많다. 풍부한 자료가 잘 구비되어있고 인격적인 모독이 없다. 교과서 없이 교사가 진행하며, 탐구와 융통적 조직이 가능한 인간적인 분위기의 교실이다. 결론적으로, 국제학교는 학교교육의 전반적인 과정에서 열린교육이 수행되고 있으며, 교생들이 열린교육의 실제를 효과적으로 경험할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to gauge the experience of Yeolin education through intercultural student teaching. A qualitative research method was used for this study. Eight student teachers at the educational practice field in "D" international school were selected. They were interviewed and their field notes were analyzed from October 19th to November 25th 2015. The results were as follows. Firstly, the management of the curriculum was child-centered and self-regulated, very different to the Korean system. Teaching was constructive, based on discussion and the experience of the children. A project approach was used actively and diversely as a teaching method. Secondly, the relationship and communication between members was compassionate and humanistic. The teachers' competence was high and the children were free, active, and happy. Lastly, certain aspects were present at the international school but were missing generally in Korea. Learning materials were complete and children learnt without textbooks. The students' inquiry and flexible organizations were possible in a humanistic atmosphere. In conclusion, open education is performed in "D" international school. Therefore, the experience of Yeolin Education through intercultural student teaching is possible.
