국문 초록

삼언 가운데 사랑과 욕정을 다룬 이른바 ‘애욕소설’들은 대체로 저급한 욕정을 다룬 작품들이 많아 비교적 학계의 주목을 받지 못하였다. 본 논문은 삼언 속 이런 많은 애욕소설 중의 대표작 가운데 하나라고 할 수 있는 <혁대경이 원앙 띠를 남기고 죽다(赫大卿遺恨鴛鴦絛)>라는 작품을 중심으로 삼언 애욕소설 작품들에 반영된 욕정관을 다루고 있다. <혁대경이 원앙 띠를 남기고 죽다>를 통해 반영된 삼언 애욕소설의 욕정관은 ‘好色’과 ‘好淫’을 구분하여 호음을 폄하하는 반면 호색에 대해서는 부분적으로 긍정하였는데, 이는 정과 음을 어렴풋이나마 구분한 것으로 훗날 《홍루몽》과 같은 소설에서 본격적으로 정을 칭송하고 음을 폄하하는 담론이 등장하는데 크게 영향을 끼쳤다고 할 수가 있다. 그 외 본고에서는 삼언 애욕소설 속 남녀 간의 결합 양상에 나타난 타협과 절충을 통한 중화적 양태에 대해 논하고 있다. 삼언 애욕소설에 나타난 욕정관은 욕정을 긍정하는 주정주의적 태도와 그것을 절제하고 금기시하는 이성주의가 서로 절충하여 원만히 타협하는 과정에서 간혹 주제의식을 흐리게 하기도 하지만 이 역시 풍몽룡의 의도된 중화적 표현방식에서 기인한 것이라고 할 수가 있다.

영문 초록

Many people criticise San-yan novels are full of lust without any true love. But when we study the view of sexual desire in San-yan, we can find the author not only reflected the amorous social trend of the day but controled and criticised the sexual desire of the day. So we can say the author scratched his head over meeting the demands of popularity and education. So the contradictory attitude of denial and praise of lust reflected in this novel comes from author Feng-Menglong(馮夢龍)'s neutralization satisfying both goals. The view of sexual desire in Sanyan novels stands on the basis of neutralization, it distinguished eroticism(好色) from lewdness(好淫), so it affirms right eroticism and denied dirty lewdness. This attitude is a reaction against suppression and distortion of sexual desire in chinese ancient culture. We can also find Sanyan novels describes the sexual lust and intercourse very freely without any taboo which was very common at that time. It demonstrates Sanyan novels somewhat have broken from the convention of chinese traditional moralistic Genophobia. The view of sexual desire in Sanyan novels especially in <赫大卿遺恨鴛鴦絛>, did not clearly distinguish love(愛情) from desire(淫 or 欲情) like Hongloumeng(紅樓夢). But it does not represent Sanyan novels totally neglected the value of true love. The separation between eroticism(好色) and lewdness(好淫) shown in <赫大卿遺恨鴛鴦絛> shows us that the author somewhat understood the difference between love(愛情) and desire(淫 or 欲情). This indistinct realization of the difference between love(愛情) and desire(淫 or 欲情) shown in the view of sexual desire in Sanyan novels had an important effect on the Hongloumeng(紅樓夢)'s idea of love.
