국문 초록

고객을 직접 상대하는 서비스접점 종사원들이 고객의 필요와 욕구를 잘 파악하는 것은 기업의 발전을 위하여 필수요소라 할 수 있다. 한편, 기업 내적으로 보면 서비스업체의 서비스 담당 종사원의 개인요인(직무스트레스요인과 가족기능요인)은 동기부여에 강한 영향을 미치고 또한 생활만족과 직무만족에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 것이라고 예측된다. 따라서 이들 요인 간의 상호관계를 파악하는 것은 서비스종사원의 긍정적인 동기부여를 향상시키고 나아가 기업의 성장을 위하여 많은 도움을 줄 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 호텔종사원의 직무스트레스와 가족기능이 생활만족과 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 이를 위하여 외생변수로는 직무스트레스(역할갈등과 역할모호성)와 가족 기능(가족응집성과 가족적응성)을 선정하고 내생변수로 생활만족과 직무만족을 선정하였다. 피험자로는 서울과 대구 및 경주의 특급호텔에 종사하는 서비스접점종사원을 선정하여 직접 방문을 통한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무스트레스요인과 가족기능은 생활만족에 각각 정(+)의 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 생활만족, 직무스트레스 및 가족기능이 직무만족에 각각 정(+)의 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 고객만족의 최전선에서 근무하는 서비스종사원이 처한 상황에 따라 고객의 유지 및 신고객의 창출이 지대한 영향을 받기 때문에 기업의 지속적인 발전을 위해서는 서비스 접점 종사원들에 대한 관심과 관리가 매우 중요하다고 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of service attendants' job stress and family function on the life satisfaction, and the job satisfaction. To obtain this goal, job stress(characterized by role conflict and role ambiguity) and family function(represented by family adaptation and family cohesion) are chosen as the independent variables and life satisfaction and job satisfaction are chosen as the dependent variables. Also the relationship between life satisfaction and job satisfaction is investigated. The service encounter attendants in five-star hotels located in Seoul, Daegu and Gyeongju are chosen as the subjects for whom the research was implemented through questionnaire. The results of this research are as follows;First, the effect of job stress on life satisfaction is significantly negative as predicted. This implies that the greater job stress is, the lesser life satisfaction is. Second, the effect of family function on life satisfaction is significantly positive in the direction predicted by the research hypothesis. Third, the effect of life satisfaction on the job satisfaction is significantly positive as predicted. This also implies that the greater life satisfaction is, the greater job satisfaction is. Fourth, the effect of job stress on job satisfaction is significantly negative as predicted. Fifth, the effect of family function on job satisfaction is not significant unlikely the hypothesis. To conclude, the management care for the service encounter attendants are of great consequence for the sustainable development of the firms since the generation and maintenance of new customers are affected by the environments of service attendants working in the front line of hotel.
