지역주민의 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 축제영향 요인 인식 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 축제와 삶의 질 요인을 도출하고, 축제영향 인식의 차이를 나타내는 결정변수를 파악하여 이들에 대한 지역주민의 인식차이를 검증하고자 하였다. 축제와 삶의 질은 사회적 환경, 경제적 환경, 안정된 생활환경, 문화적 환경, 자연환경 보존, 생활여건 및 여가활동 등의 6개 요인으로, 축제영향 인식에 관여하는 결정변수는 관광산업에의 경제의존, 관광산업에 대한 개입, 지역사회에 대한 애착심, 인구통계학적 특성 등으로 규명되었다. 축제와 삶의 질에 대한 차이검증 결과 첫째, ‘축제의 경제적 가치에 대한 의존’에서는 ‘가족구성원의 관광산업에의 종사여부’에 따라 ‘생활여건 및 여가활동’에 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 둘째, ‘축제에 대한 개입 정도’에서는 ‘축제와 관련한 개인의 의사반영 만족도’에 따라 6개 요인 모두에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, ‘지역사회 대한 애착심 정도’에서는 ‘출생지 여부’에 따라 ‘자연환경 보존’, ‘사회적 환경’, ‘경제적 환경’의 삶의 질 차원에 유의한 차이를 나타냈으며, 넷째, ‘인구통계학적 특성’에서는 ‘성별’과 ‘직업’에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. ‘성별’의 경우 ‘생활여건 및 여가활동’을 제외한 5개 요인 모두에서 유의한 차이를 보였으며, ‘직업’의 경우 ‘자연환경 보존’에서만 유의한 차이를 보였다. 요약하면, 연천군 지역주민은 축제에서 가족구성원의 관광산업에의 종사여부, 축제와 관련한 의사반영 만족도, 지역사회에서의 출생지 여부, 성별 및 직업에 따라 삶의 질에 미치는 축제영향 인식에 유의한 차이를 나타냈다.

영문 초록

This study was mainly built on Festival and Quality of Life measurement, which suggest Festival and Quality of life index. Based on conceptual and empirical perspectives from the literature review, 4 research hypotheses were developed as follows: Hypothesis 1: Residents’ perception of festival impacts on QOL varies with economic dependence on festival. Hypothesis 2: Residents’ perception of festival impacts on QOL varies with engagement with festival. Hypothesis 3: Residents’ perception of festival impacts on QOL varies with community attachment. Hypothesis 4: Residents’ perception of festival impacts on QOL varies with demographic characteristics. Six impact factors were identified through factor analysis, which reveals that Yeoncheon county residents were especially conscious about festival impacts on six quality of life domains in terms of ‘Social environment’, ‘Economic environment’, ‘Stabilized living environment’, ‘Cultural environment’, ‘Natural environment conservation’, ‘Living condition and leisure activity’. From the results of Independent samples t-test and ANOVA, 5 determinants(having family with tourism related job, involvement in festival related decision-making, birthplace, gender, job) were associated with festival impacts on resident’s quality of life. Given that none of empirical research on festival impacts on residents’ quality of life and the importance imposed on residents’ support for sustainable development, the findings of this study can help community planners and tourism leaders prioritize steps to take in order to improve residents’ quality of life and further to ensure long-term success of festival.
