국문 초록

본 연구는 국내.외 대안학교의 사례를 통하여 교육과정 및 교육운영을 비교분석함으로 대안학교 교육의 개선방안을 모색과 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 연국에 의해 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대안학교 교육과정의 구성은 공통필수와 과정필수, 특성화 교과로 되어 있으며, 앞의 둘은 보통교과이나 특성화 교과는 기존의 학교에서는 볼 수 없는 다양한 내용으로 이루어져 있다. 둘째, 대안학교의 교육운영을 살펴보면 대부분의 대안학교가 기숙사 생활을 추구하고 있는데, 공동체 생활교육과 인성교육 및 학교의 지리적인 위치 불가피성 때문이다. 이러한 기숙사 생활을 통하여 전인적 인간형성을 이루면서 더불어 살아가는 삶과 책임감, 동료애 체득을 기대할 수 있다. 운영회의 구성은 일반학교와 차이점이 없지만, 학생과 관련된 문제가 발생했을 경우 학생자치회의 권한과 영향이 일반학교보다 큼을 알 수 있다. 학생선발은 성적보다 학교설립 목적과 교육이념에 부학여부와 학생의 의지를 가장 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과들이 갖는 시사점 및 제한점에 관하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study compares the education process and education management of each school by analyzing international and domestic alternative school curriculums. It also studies how much alternative education can improve on the current education’s problems, and it also suggests alternative education values that could be implemented in public education and how alternative education can be improved. Moreover, it tried to understand the curriculum by researching education purposes, education contents, and education systems, and also the education management by looking into education decisions, school administration, and the selection of students. As a result of this research we see the curriculum is comprised of common courses, subject courses, and specialized courses, and though the first two are standard courses the specialized courses are comprised of diverse subjects that cannot be found in a standard school. Secondly, if we look into education management we find that although the small schools that alternative schools tend to be are educational in many ways, but have many difficulties on the school management side. The study discusses the suggestions and boundaries that these research results show.
