국문 초록

본 논문은 전례 사목 안에서의 어린이들을 대상으로 한 전례 교육의 필요성에 대한 물음을 제기한다. 그 이유는 교회 안에서 어린이들의 복음화율과 주일 학교 교육 참여의 감소 그리고 가정 안에서 신앙 교육의 약화라는 현실을 통해서 그 문제의 심각성이 드러나기 때문이다. 이러한 현실로부터 제2차 바티칸 공의회 이후 1973년에 반포된「어린이 미사 지침」을 통해 전례 교육의 기본적인 방향과 그 특징들을 분석하였다. 이 지침은 어린이들의 심리학적인 요구와 실제적 사회·종교적으로 변화하는 조건들을 적합하게 함으로써 그들이 미사에 참여할 수 있는 전례 교육 목적을 획득하였다. 특히 성찬의 신비에 대한 이해와 공동체 미사에 참여하는 데 있어서 의식적이고 능동적인 참여를 하기 위한 교육 수단과 방법을 지시하였다는 점에서 의의를 발견할 수 있었다. 또한, 특징적으로 지침 안에서 ‘전례적 표지와 상징의 이해 교육’에 대한 전례적 교육학의 원리들(20-37항)을 지적하였다. 이러한 교육학적 원리를 통하여 어린이들을 위한 전례 교육이 전례의 표지와 상징들을 통한 소통적 교육이라는 사실을 발견하게 되었다. 이것은 그것들과의 소통을 통한 지성적인 인식과 오감을 이용한 직·간접적인 경험 획득의 가능성을 열어 놓았다. 이러한 방법론적인 측면은 단순히 전례에 관한 지식을 전달하는 차원에서 그치는 것이 아니라 어린이들의 종교적 감수성과 심리발달을 고려한 전인적인 교육이라 말할 수 있고 전례적 표지와 상징과의 소통을 통한 지성적이며, 삶 속의 심화로 이어지는 영성적인 교육이라 할 수 있다. 끝으로 이러한 전례 교육의 방향을 구체적으로 적용할 수 있는 내용과 방법을 소개함으로써 가정과 본당 안에서 그 교육의 모습을 가시화하였다.

영문 초록

This thesis proposes the question of the need for the education of children in the context of the liturgical and pastoral nature of the liturgy. This is an important area of consideration especially today because of the decreasing rate of evangelization of children in the Church and the weakening of faith education that is happening within the family. This present situation will be analyzed within the context and characteristics brought forth in the general direction of education through the liturgy「Directorium de missis cum Pueris」 (1973), which was published after the Second Vatican Council. This document is intended to present a liturgical education that would ensure a new way of designing and then implementing a plan of real initiation of children to the Eucharist. In doing so, the liturgy and faith will be more relevant to their particular needs and psychological development within the changing conditions of the current socio-religious society. In addition, the document 'the principles of liturgical pedagogies' (nn.20-37) is referenced on signs and symbols within the liturgy. Through these principles it was discovered that liturgical education is through the communication of signs and symbols in the liturgy itself. The communication of signs and symbols allows for the possibility of obtaining direct and indirect experiences with both the senses and with one’s intellect. The methodological part of that education not only offers liturgical information but also becomes fundamental in the psychological development of children. It also can be defined as the intellectual education through the communication of liturgical symbols and principles which lead to a deepening of one’s spiritual life in the liturgy. In conclusion, this thesis attempts to propose a concrete education in the liturgy by introducing both content and methodology that one can apply in the direction of such faithful education in the parish and family.
