오늘의 중국과 大唐帝國의 소환

국문 초록

이 논문에서는 현 시기 중국이 ‘중국의 꿈’을 실현하기 위해 大唐帝國을 모델로 소환하는 이유와 그 의미에 대해서 고찰하였다. 고찰의 과정에는 당 제국을 제재로 하는 현대 영상물, 서사와 西安 지역의 지역학을 논거로 들었다. 고찰의 결과 오늘의 중국은 정치, 경제적 대제국만이 아니라 대당제국과 같은 문화제국의 위상을 지향한다는 결론에 도달하였다. 따라서 측천무후, 당태종, 양귀비 등과 같은 대당제국의 역사적 인물들이 오늘의 중국에 필요한 문화 컨텐츠가 되었고 대당제국의 수도였던 서안은 古都 회복의 사업과 신 실크로드 사업의 중심지임을 밝혀내었다. 현 시기 중국이 대당제국을 전략적으로 소환하여 그 결과가 패권국가를 지향할지 아니면 문화대국을 실현할지는 아직 알 수 없다. 하지만 대당제국이 지닌 ‘개방성’과 ‘혼종성’이라는 특성을 중국이 얼마만큼 구현해 내는지에 따라 대당제국으로 가는 ‘중국의 꿈’을 재현할 수 있을 것으로 전망한다.

영문 초록

This research attempted to study the reason and meaning that the China of the day recalls T’ang Empire as a model to realize today’s ‘China dream’. In the process of study, I used contemporary Chinese visual media, narratives, Xi’an regional fields about T’ang Empire associated that topic. Therethrough I obtained the conclusion that the China of the day aimed the status as like as T’ang Empire that is not only the great empire in politics and economic fields, but also in cultural fields. So In this paper, I analyzed the reason that historial person as Wuzetian, Tangtaizong, Yangguifei of T’ang Empire became cultural contents that are necessary to the China of the day. And explained that the Xi’an city of the T’ang Empire’s capital became the center through restoration of old capital project, construction of new- silk road project. We still don’t know whether the China of the day will aim at dominate nation or great cultural-nation through the strategic recall of T’ang Empire. But, this paper forecasts that representation of ‘China dream’ way to T’ang Empire with realization of T’ang Empire’ character - ‘the openness’, ‘the cultural hybridity’ or not.
