저자동시인용분석을 이용한 국내 평생교육학 분야의 지적 구조 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 평생교육학의 지적 구조를 저자동시인용분석이라는 실증적 방법을 통해 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 하나의 학문이 형성되는 과정에서 구축되는 지적 구조를 구명하여 평생교육학의 성격을 논의해보고자 하였다. 학술 집단의 논의가 집약되는 5개의 전문학술지를 선정하여 학술지에 피인용된 저자들을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 총 53명의 핵심저자가 도출되었다. 이들 저자들을 데이터로 국내 평생교육학의 지적 구조를 분석한 결과, '원론' 범주의 평생교육론, '대상' 범주의 계층별 평생교육론, '방법' 범주의 평생교육자론, '실천' 범주의 영역별 평생교육론(HRD, 원격교육 중심), 지역사회 교육실천론, '정책' 범주의 평생교육정책론 영역이 도출되었다. 그리고 이러한 지적 구조가 형성되어 온 과정에서 학문 간 통섭과 융합적 성격을 보여주는 세부 주제 영역이 형성되어가고 있다는 점, 실천보다는 정책 중심의 평생교육학 연구 경향, 평생교육론에 대한 원로 저자 중심의 논의 한계, 평생교육학 연구 대상의 계층화, '방법' 범주 연구의 취약성, 학문공동체 내부의 소통에 보이지 않는 경계 형성, 일부 저자에게 집중된 인용 현상 등을 있음을 해석하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to study the intellectual structure of lifelong education by author co-citation analysis. It is to address the characteristics of lifelong education by revealing intellectual structure being formed during the establishing process of study. 5 professional journals integrated the debates of academic organizations were selected for this study, and then the authors who were referred in the journals were analysed. Based on the analysis, 53 core authors were revealed. By using these authors as data for analysing the intellectual structure, the following areas are resulted : Lifelong Education discourse under the category of 'theory', lifelong education for each class under the category of 'target', lifelong educator under the category of 'method', lifelong education for each field(focusing on HRD and distance education) under the category of 'practice', community lifelong education under the category of 'practice' and lifelong education policy under the category of 'policy'. In addition, detail subject areas are showing that consilience and convergence between studies are being formed and the trends of lifelong education is more focused on policy rather than practice. It was also analysed that there is a limitation to have a discussion with a focus on original authors and studying subjects are being stratified. The analyzed result presents the weakness of the study of 'Method' area, invisible boundaries within the communication between academic organizations and references being concentrated on some of authors.
