노인의 약물 오용과 약물관리 지식

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 약물 오용과 약물관리 지식을 확인하고, 인구학적ㆍ건강ㆍ복용약물 관련 특성에 따라 차이가 있는지를 확인하는 서술적 조사연구이다. 수도권지역 복지관 2곳에 출석하는 약물을 복용하는 65세 이상 노인 258명을 대상으로 2012년 8월 22일부터 9월26일까지 설문지를 통해 조사하였고, 수집된 자료는 실수와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan 사후검증으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구대상자의 약물오용 정도는 1.95점(점수 범위 0-7점)으로 낮았고, 약물관리 지식은 3.39점(점수 범위 0-6점)으로 보통 정도인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 연구대상자의 약물오용의 정도는 약물부작용경험 수, 약물부작용경험 증상, 처방약물과 비처방약물의 종류에 따라 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연구대상자의 약물관리 지식의 정도는 연령, 학력, 질환유형, 약물부작용 인지, 약물부작용경험 증상, 약물복용 유형, 처방약물 수, 처방약물과 비처방약물의 종류에 따라 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과가 노인의 약물오용을 예방하고, 약물관리 지식의 중요성에 대한 이해를 증진시키고 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있는 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study were to identify the status of elder's medication knowledge and misuse, and to analyze difference in it by demographic, health, and medication characteristics. Data were collected from 258 elders (over 65yrs) involved in two welfare facilities from Aug. 22 to Sept. 26, 2012 using a questionnaire, and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan post verification. Results of this study were as follows: Mean score for medication misuse was as low as 1.95(0-7), and that for medication knowledge was as medium as 3.39(0-6). Difference in subjects'medication misuse showed significant statistically by characteristics of medication side effect experiences, side effect symptoms, and kind of prescribed or non-prescribed medication. Then subjects' medication knowledge also showed significant difference by age, educational level, type of disease, recognition of medication side effect, type of medication, number of medication prescribed, and kind of prescribed or non-prescribed medication. Those findings from this study might be used as bases for better understanding on elders'medication knowledge and for preventing elders'medication misuse.
