색다른 용도법(Unusual uses)을 활용한 표상활동이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아들의 창의성 증진을 위해 색다른 용도법을 활용한 표상활동이 유아들의 창의성에 미치는 효과를 검증하였다. 실험집단(25명), 비교집단(25명) 만 5세 유아 50명이 참여하였으며, 실험 집단의 유아들은 주 2회 6주간 12회의 색다른 용도법을 적용하는 표상활동과 비교집단 유아들은 색다른 용도법 활동을 실시하였다. 활동의 효과를 검증하기 위해 유아 도형 창의성 검사를 실시하였으며 색다른 용도법을 활용한 표상활동을 적용한 결과 실험집단의 창의성 점수의 평균이 비교집단보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상 되었다. 또한 유창성, 독창성, 개방성의 하위요인별 평균 점수의 차이에서도 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상 되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아의 창의성 교육을 위해서 발달단계에 맞는 창의성 표상활동의 필요성이 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study examined the effect representation activity using Unusual uses has on young children's creativity. The subjects of the study consisted of 50 young children aged 5, experimental group(25) and comparison group(25). The experimental group conducted representation activity using Unusual uses twice a week, 12 times over 6 weeks while the comparison group did the activity using Unusual uses. The study conducted Korean Figural Creativity Test for Young Children in order to verify the effects of the activities, and the experimental group applying representation activity using Unusual uses showed the statistically significant improvement in the average of creativity score in comparison with the comparison group's. Also, the experimental group indicated the statistically significant improvement in the average score as to each sub-factor of fluency, originality and openness. The findings of the study suggest that the creativity representation activity suitable for developmental stages is needed for creativity education of young children.
