유아의 환경변인과 창의적 사고력과의 관계연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교육 프로그램 유형과 창의성 간의 상관을 분석하고, 유아의 창의적 가정환경이 유아의 창의적 사고능력과의 관계가 어떠한지를 살펴보고자 실시되었다. 여기에서 유아의 창의적 환경을 유치원 프로그램이라는 물리적인 환경과 가족 내에서의 심리적인 환경으로 구분하였다. 연구대상으로는 수도권에 위치한 4개의 다른 프로그램을 실시하는 유치원의 만 4세와 만 5세 유아 140명과 그 부모를 대상으로 하였으며, 그 연구 결과에 대해서 다음과 같은 결론을 제시할 수 있다. 첫째, 유치원에서 실시하는 다양한 프로그램의 유형에 따른 창의적 사고력에서는 특별한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 유아들의 가정환경은 창의적 사고력합계 및 하위요인변인들과 부분적으로 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 창의적인 환경 중 유치원 프로그램이라는 물리적 환경은 유아에게 창의적 사고력의 변인이 되지 않음을 시사하고 있으며, 심리적인 환경이라는 가족 내에서의 변인은 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between creative environment and creative thinking ability for preschool children. The instruments used in this study were 'Early Childhood Integrated Creativity Test'(Lee, 2003), 'Creative Home Environment Scale'(Oh & Choi, 2006). Self-reported response data on these instruments from 114 children of kindergartens in Seoul and Incheon were analyzed. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations, ANOVA analysis by using SPSS 18.0. The major results of this study were as follows; First, It was found that there was no significant difference of creative thinking ability by their kindergarten's education program. Second, the correlations between creative home environment and creative thinking ability were significant. Among the variables of creative home environment, some subfactors were significantly correlated with the subfactors of creative thinking ability. In addition, limitation of this study and the direction for future research were discussed.
